On this NBA tip-off day, Streak for the Cash gives us eight picks with four options from international soccer early in the day and four picks from the two marquee games tonight. Check out Jeffrey Littrell’s NBA Power Rankings coming later today on FantasyCPR.

For streakers, there’s just a few days left to get your streak and record where you want it before things reset on Thursday. Here’s the picks I like for today:

Picks for 10/30

9:00-Zenit St. Petersburg wins by 2: St. Petersburg is the superior team in this Russian Cup matchup as they enter this game 8-3-2 in the Russian Premier League as opposed to Mordovia Saransk’s 2-2-9 record placing them at the very bottom of the table. Earlier this season Zenit St. Petersburg won 3-0 at Saransk, so the only question in my mind here is whether Zenit will play all its starters since it’s the Russian Cup and not a Premier League game. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

3:45- Arsenal win: Like Zenit, Arsenal is the heavy favorite and as long as their starters see a good amount of time they should be able to get the win here. Players like Arshavin, Koscielny, Walcott and Jenkinson all expected to play, so I think the gunners should be able to advance with a win here. Confidence Meter: 5

8:10- Celtics win or single digit loss: Miami is favored by 6.5. Boston will be out to make a statement to the Heat and should be up for this one. Last season the two teams met in Miami’s second game of the season which happened in South Beach and the Heat won by eight. The other three regular season meetings Boston was able to get the win (although the big 3 sat out the last game which had no meaning for either team). With no real record or idea of who is in or out of form, it’s a tough call, but I think that Boston at least keeps this one close. Confidence Meter: 6

8:11- LeBron James points: James will be ready to break out and show his new post game after raising the banner. He typically destroys the C’s. Confidence Meter: 5

10:40-Lakers win by double digits: Don’t let the winless preseason fool you, LA will be just fine this season although no NBA team has reached the Finals after going 0-for-the-preseason. They’re favored in this one by 8.5 as they open at home against the Mavs. Kobe may or may not play, but we know that Dirk won’t so I think LA wins this one fairly easily. Confidence Meter: (confidence drops to 6 if no Kobe)
