Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis, November 8

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts will take on Jacksonville tonight as they face a Jags team with an injury-depleted secondary. They’re my most confident pick in Streak for the Cash on this Thursday. Photo by Thomas J. Russo-US PRESSWIRE

It’s Thursday in Streak for the Cash and we’ll get things started without any help from Cee-Lo. There’s 11 picks on the board starting with more tennis action this morning with a Europa League game mixed in. Tonight’s picks feature the usual Thursday night mix of College Football, NFL, and a couple of big NBA matchups. Here’s the picks I like today:

Streak Picks for 11/8

8:55- 21 Games or Fewer: This is a prop for the David Ferrer v. Roger Federer match. In their 13 previous matches, Federer is undefeated and Ferrer has won exactly three sets. In the  12 best-of-five matches only three times has it gone more than 21 games. Really this comes down to will Fed win in straight sets which he has in 10 of 13 matches. I know Ferrer is playing well and beat Juan Martin del Potro in his last macth and is coming off the Paris Masters title. If there was ever a time to believe in the Spaniard now would be the time, but I still think Federer will take care of a possibly tired Ferrer in quick order in this one. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

2:50- 21 Games or Fewer: Tipsarevic has won zero sets in his three losses to Juan Martin Del Potro in their careers and just was soundly trounced 6-3, 6-1 by Roger Federer. Juan del Potro also lost his last game, but it was a close match against a fired up David Ferrer. I think del Potro gets the straight set win here like he has their previous three games head-to-head. Confidence Meter: 3

7:02- Arkansas State winning Margin: Both teams put up points in a hurry, but Arkansas State is coming off back-to-back big road wins at ULL and North Texas. They lost at home earlier this year to Wester Kentucky but have won four in a row since then by a touchdown or more. ULL bounced back from their defeat at the hands of Arkansas State to beat Louisiana-Monroe last week, which is the team that Arkansas hosts in this matchup. It should be a big win for the Red Wolves at home in Jonesboro. Confidence Meter: 6

8:30- Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are favored by three as they head to Jacksonville and I think they make a great pick tonight against the Jags who are winless in four home games and have yet to keep one withint two touchdowns. Maurice Jones-Drew is still sidelines and the Colts have the Chuckstrong momentum rolling as they go into F-L-A behind their rookie QB Andrew Luck. Confidence Meter: 8

10:00-Seattle Sounders win or Draw: Seattle played well at home but was unable to score as they and Real Salt Lake played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals. A draw is most likely the outcome of this one too, but I think if a team scores there’s a good chance it’ll be the Sounders. The teams have now played four full regulation games with an aggregate score of 1-0 RSL based on a goal they scored back on May 12. In each of the three games since then, the final has been 0-0. Confidence Meter: 5

10:30- Portland Trailblazers: Portland  won their only home game when they beat the other LA team and will look to improve to 3-2 as they host the Clippers tonight at the Rose Garden. Portland beat Houston in Houston for it’s other win and will be rested having not played since Monday. The Clippers will be playing on back-to-back days after hosting San Antonio in the late game last night. Confidence Meter: 6
