Happy Veterans Day! Make sure to honor and thank the veterans in your life and community on this special holiday.

On ESPN Streak for the Cash, we’ll celebrate with 23 picks from around the world of sports. There’s of course the usual pack of NFL picks along with a little golf, tennis, and soccer early. After a packed early slate there’s some variety with a college basketball game on an aircraft carrier and some more tennis from London. Later in the day along with the rest of the NFL picks, there’s MLS Playoff action and an NBA pick as well.

Here’s the picks I like the most and my confidence level in them. Today’s analysis will be quick but hopefully will still lead us to plenty of green.

Streak picks for 11/11

8:30- Manchester City win: Man City is typically dominant at home and is 4-1-0 so far this season at Etihad stadium. The Spurs have played well this season, but City will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing Champions League draw against Ajax. City has struggled recently but I think they’ll get the win today. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

9:15- Novak Djokovic wins 2-0: Djokovic has dominated this matchup historically and won six of eight matches in the past. He’s won the last two in straight sets including a three-set match in the US Open. Djokovic on hard court is usually the right pick. Confidence Meter: 5

1:00- New York Giants: Just wrote my NFL Picks in my weekly post (click here). Confidence Meter: 6

1:00- Tampa Bay Buccaneers: My NFL Picks are in this post each week (click here). Confidence Meter: 8

4:00- Syracuse: My Orange open their season aboard the USS Midway in San Diego. It’ll be an awesome environment and a great way to start the season for both teams. Both teams will be good, but ‘Cuse is higher ranked and has its 2/3 zone which could be brutal to shoot over if the wind picks up. Both the other Carrier games didn’t work out this weekend so this could end up as a push if weather forced the game to b called. Confidence Meter: 3

4:15- Houston win: Houston is showing their playoff experience so far in the MLS playoffs and at home should be able to beast DC United in the first leg of the Eastern Finals. The Dynamo won both games at home against United this season 1-0 and 4-0. Confidence Meter: 6

4:25- Dallas Cowboys: My NFL Picks are in this post each week (click here). Confidence Meter: 6

6:05- Miami Heat: Getting to take the Heat straight-up is unusual. Both they and Memphis are off to a good start and LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are both banged up. Wade may miss another game and James may be limited after knocking knees with Josh Smith in the Heat’s last game. I still think Miami is the right pick here, but be aware of the factors involved and see who’s in/out before tip-off. Confidence Meter: 4

8:30- Chicago Bears: My NFL Picks are in this post each week (click here). Confidence Meter: 3

8:31- Matt Schaub+Arian Foster: Cool prop. Foster and Schaub are probably the better pick here especially if the Bears defense scores any points keeping Cutler+Forte on the sidelines. Confidence Meter: 4

9:10- Seattle Sounders win or draw: The Sounders and Galaxy meet in the first leg of the Western Finals in LA. Seattle  won both games at home against LA (2-0, 4-0) but lost the game in LA 1-0. The Galaxy were able to pull off the upset in the last round against San Jose and will look to do the same against Seattle, but I think this game could easily be a draw so I’ll go with the better team (slightly) getting the draw. Confidence Meter: 3

10:15- 20 points or fewer: I expect this game to be all about defense. Confidence Meter: (pick subject to change. Follow us on twitter @FantasyCPR where I’ll let you know if the first half changes the pick or my confidence in it)
