ESPN Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis, November 12

The Denver Nuggets make a good pick tonight in Phoenix having won four in a row including their double-overtime win against the Warriors that shooting guard Andre Iguodala (9, far left), Danilo Gallinari (8, second from left) celebrate in this photo by Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

Monday’s not as packed with Streak for the Cash picks as the weekend, but there’s still 12 opportunities to extend your winning streak. The picks get going this morning with some Russian and Greek soccer. This afternoon the top two men’s tennis players face off in London, and then tonight’s action features basketball from the pro and college level as well as Monday Night Football props in the Chiefs-Steelers game.

Here’s the picks I like today and the confidence that I have in each:

Streak Picks for 11/12

9:30- Torpedo Moscow win or draw: These two teams from Russian Division 1 get things underway. Torpedo is mid-table while Shinnik Yaroslavi is second-to-last. In the two teams last six meetings Shinnik has only pulled out one straight-up win so the better pick is Torpedo, but these lower-than-top-level soccer games can be unpredictable. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

3:15- Roger Federer: It’s really a clash of the titans as Federer and Djokovic face off for the 30th time in their careers. Fed has the overall lead 16-13 and has taken the last two matches-one in Cincinnati and one at Wimbledon. Federer won the only time they met in this event two years ago and is the two-time defending champion at this event. It will be a great game and one that could definitely go either way, but I’d take Roger Federer if you need to make a pick in this one. Confidence Meter: 3

7:05- Utah Jazz: Utah hasn’t won yet this year on the road but have won their last six trips to Toronto. The Raptors are off to a rough start to the year at 1-5 and are dealing with injuries to their starting backcourt of Kyle Lowry and Landry Fields. Both sat out Saturday’s loss and may be joined by Alan Anderson after he sprained his foot starting for them in the last game. If the Raptors were all healthy, I’d consider picking them, but with all their injuries the Jazz should be able  to get their first road W. Confidence Meter: 6

8:40- Steelers win by 15: The Chiefs are that bad. Click here for my full NFL picks and anlysis. Confidence Meter: 5

9:05- Denver Nuggets: The Nuggets have been on a roll winning four straight as they head to Phoenix. The Suns are 2-1 at home but don’t have the firepower to keep up with the Nuggets especially if they find their elusive shooting touch. Denver swept the season series last year and will continue to let the Manimal and Ty Lawson run free and dominate the game for them. Confidence Meter: 7

11:59- Gonzaga wins by double digits: The Zags welcome West Virginia to Spokane in a rematch of the 2012 NCAA Tournament game. Gonzaga won that one 77-54 and WVU has to replace Kevin Jones who led the team and the Big East in scoring and rebounding. Gonzaga should be able to get the win by 10 or more. Confidence Meter: 6
