ESPN Streak for the Cash Advice and Picks-November 19

The Indiana Hoosiers and forward Cody Zeller (40) take on Georgia as they face their first big-conference team as the number one team in the land. In Streak for the Cash, they’re giving 20 points, but I think they’ll cover. That’s just one of the picks of the day-scroll down for the rest. Photo by Pat Lovell-US PRESSWIRE

ESPN’s Streak for the Cash only slows down a little as we head into Monday with 12 picks on the board. There’s early picks from international soccer followed by plenty of College Basketball from the various tip-off tournaments and of course the usual Monday Night Football props.

Yesterday went pretty well and I would’ve had my streak to a six or seven if NC State hadn’t tripped me up. Overall my picks were 11-6 as you can see on the scoreboard at the bottom of the post. Hopefully I can build on yesterday’s momentum with these picks:

Streak Picks for 11/19

10:45- Terek Grozny win or draw: Grozny is the lesser known of the two teams but is higher in the table with a 9-1-5 record compared to Krasnodar who is 5-4-6.  Grozny getting the draw is the heaving farorite acording to the betting odds. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

3:30- Marquette: In the opener of the Maui invitational it’s the Golden Eagles of Marquette against the Butler Bulldogs. Butler is 1-1 losing at Xavier by 15 their last time out. Marquette meanwhile is 2-0 have won by double-digits against Colgate and Southeastern Louisiana. This will be the toughest test for Marquette who are rebuilding a bit after Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom moved on after last season. They’ll be able to rely on Davante Gardner and Chris Otule up front more this year as they use their passing and athleticism to get past Butler in this game. Confidence Meter: 4

5:30- Indiana wins by 20+: The Hoosiers look to move to 4-0 after cruising past Bryant, North Dakota State and Sam Houston State  by 41.0 points per game. Their defense has been exceptional which is bad news for Georgia who has lost to Youngstown State and Southern Mississippi in their last two games by 12 and 2 respectively. This game takes place in Brooklyn as part of the Legends Classic. Confidence Meter: 6

7:00- Milwaukee Bucks: Two teams off to hot starts after disappointing seasons last year face off in Charlotte. Milwaukee has won three in a row while the Bobcats had their three game winning streak snapped against Memphis on Saturday. Charlotte is much improved, but the Bucks are playing well and I don’t think Kemba Walker will be able to keep up with the combined firepower of the Bucks who are averaging 101.0 points per game and are 3-0 on the road. Confidence Meter: 7

8:30- San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs are out to avenge their loss to the Clippers two weeks ago. The Clippers have been on a role since then winning five in a row with an average margin of victory of 15.2 points. The Spurs have only lost to the Clippers and the Knicks this season, so I think they’ll be extra motivated at home to beat LA. Confidence Meter: 3

8:40- Bears points from FGs + XPs: I expect this to be low-scoring, defensively-dominated, and much like the game we had last night on Sunday Night Football. I don’t think the Niners will blow out Chicago which is the only way you can take the winning margin side of this prop. Confidence Meter: 4

10:05- Kansas wins by Double Digits: KU is officially the road team but with the game in Kansas City, Missouri, expect a pro-Jayhawk crowd. Washington State lost its last game to Pepperdine by two while Kansas bounced back from its loss to Michigan State by beating Chatanooga by 16 in their last game. Confidence Meter: 7

12:00- Illinois: The Innini face the USC Trojans in the Maui Invitational in the last pick of the day. Both teams come in undefeated but only just after Illinois needed a game-winner from D.J. Richardson to squeak past Hawaii. USC will build their attack around their 7-foot-2-inch center Omar Oraby who has looked good in their first two wins over Long Beach State and Coppin State, but the Illinois guards and their superior shooting should be able to get them through to the next round in Maui. Confidence Meter: 4
