There’s plenty more hardwood action tonight in ESPN’s Streak for the Cash game with 14 total picks on the slate and 11 from college and NBA action tonight. The early picks are once again from international soccer action as the German, Italian, and English League Cups continue their midweek action. Here’s the picks I like the most on this Wednesday of streaking action.

Streak Picks for 12/19

11:30- Fiorentina: In the Coppa Italia Fiorentina visits Udinese in the round of 16. Through 17 games in Serie A Udinese is 5-8-4 and Fiorentina is 9-5-3. In their season opener on August 25, Fiorentina beat Udinese 2-1, but that game was at Fiorentina. This time the two sides meet at Udinese’s home stadium. In their last 11 games overall, Udinese is 2-5-4 while in the same timeframe Fiorentina is 7-2-1. I think they’ll get the win to more on here even though they’re on the road. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

7:01- New York Knicks: The Knicks once again face their cross-town rival this time in Madison Square Garden. The two teams split the first two games both at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The Nets lost last night to Utah as they dropped their seventh of their last nine games. The Knicks had their four-game winning streak snapped in their last game Monday against their former teammate Jeremy Lin. Carmelo Anthony is a gametime decision, but I think he’ll play. If he does, Confidence Meter: 5. If ‘Melo is unable to play, I still like the Knicks to get the win at home, but only Confidence Meter: 3.

7:35- Oklahoma City: The Thunder are the hottest team in the NBA having won 11 in a row. They’ll come into Atlanta tonight as they face the Hawks for the final time this season. The Hawks beat Oklahoma City back on November 4, but are on the second night of a back-to-back while OKC hasn’t played since Monday. Kevin Durant has been absolutely dominant recently and Serge Ibaka had 25 points and 17 boards in the Thunder’s last win against the visiting Spurs. Take the red-hot Thunder in this one as they avenge their loss earlier this season. Confidence Meter: 6

9:04- North Carolina: The Tar Heels head to Austin for a game against Texas. The Longhorns have had a tough start to the season and have started just 6-4 but are unbeaten at home. North Carolina definitely has the edge in talent and their two losses have both been to good teams (Indiana and Butler). However, they looked shaky their last time out and have had a tendency to go through defensive lapses. The Heels are beatable, but they would have to play down to Texas in this one which I don’t think they’ll do. Confidence Meter: 7

9:45- Grizzlies win by Double Digits: The Grizz started slow in their last game on Monday but still were able to rally to beat the Bulls by nine. Memphis is 10-2 at home this season and have won six of those games by double-digits. The reason why I’m picking them here is that the Bucks are on the second half of a back-to-back and played to a hard-fought victory last night over the Pacers at home. Memphis has been excellent at home and should win comfortably. Confidence Meter: 5

11:05- Ole Miss Winning Margin: The Rebels are off to a 7-1 start and rank in the top ten in the nation is scoring and rebounding. They’ll take on Loyola-Marymount who is 5-4 after lsoing to SMU, Oral Roberts, Long Beach State, and even Alaska-Anchorage. LMU averages almost eight three-pointers a game and is coming off a game against Northern Arizona where they hit 14 of them. However, Ole Miss has been fairly good about limiting their opponents scoring allowing over 60 in just three of their first eight games. The Rebs should win by 10-15 while I think LUM hits 5-8 threes. Confidence Meter: 4
