ESPN Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis-December 28

The Missouri Tigers take on UCLA in one of our ESPN Streak for the Cash Picks today. Find the breakdown below. Photo by Scott Rovak-USA TODAY Sports

There’s only four days left for streaking in the month of December so thankfully there’s another full slate of picks today from around the world of sports selected by ESPN’s Streak for the Cash. The 16 picks on the board at this point include an early KHL game, picks from the three college bowl games, and NBA action tonight.

Yesterday, I gave you my pick for almost every matchup and it didn’t go so well as my picks stumbled to a 3-7 mark overall. Today since I’m shorter on time and looking for different results I’ll just give you my favorites and a quick reason why. Here’s my picks for this Friday of Bowl Week:

Streak Picks 12/28

5:30- Rutgers: My full Russell Athletic Bowl preview can be found by clicking here. I like the Scarlet Knights in a mild upset, but I’m surprised how popular the Rutgers pick is on #SFTC. Confidence Meter: 6

7:05- Orlando Magic: The Magic have been bad on the road, but Washington is just straight-up bad at 3-23. Confidence Meter: 5

8:35: Denver Nuggets: Dallas played overtime against OKC last night and the Nuggets have been playing well except when they ran into the buzz-saw that is the Clippers right now. Confidence Meter: 6

9:03- Texas Tech by 15+ Points: This one won’t be close. The Red Raiders reasons for the blowout can be found in my full analysis of the Meineke Car Care Bowl. The only hesitation here is that TTU will be coached by an interim as they go through another coaching change. Confidence Meter: 4

10:05- Missouri: Mizzou will look to continue its recent torrid play as they travel to Pauley Pavilion. The Tigers just knocked off previously unbeaten Illinois and will take on a UCLA team that takes games off. The Bruins will be up for this one and could make it close, but I think ultimately Missouri finds a way to win. Confidence Meter: 7
