ESPN Streak for the Cash Picks and Analysis-January 13

The Toronto Raptors are starting to get on a bit of a roll especially at the  Air Canada Centre. One of the best Streak for the Cash Picks of the day is the Raptors to keep it going over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks. Photo by Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Streak for the Cash rolls into Sunday with 19 picks on the slate. There’s a major infusion of Women’s College Hoops today, but since I don’t follow that closely you’re on your own in those ones. There are other picks from the NBA, NFL, EPL, and college hoops that I like, and there’s even our first of many Australian Open picks tonight. The first full-field PGA Tour event also gives us a late afternoon “Who will win?” prop. These are the picks I like the most on the board today:

Streak Picks 1/13

8:30- Manchester United win: This seems easy at first glace, but the overall odds are even with the prop on Liverpool’s side. I just can’t look past the fact that ManU is 9-0-1 at home this year and have taken eight of their last nine games at home against Liverpool. Liverpool has lost two of their last four road games in EPL play and are currently 3-4-3 on the road. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

1:00- Toronto Raptors: The Bucks head to Toronto where the Raps are 10-7 on the season. Toronto has been gathering steam and are 10-3 in their last 13. Milwaukee has been headed the other direction which led to them parting ways with Coach Scott Skiles and replacing him with Jim Boylan as interim. Boylan has led them to a 2-1 record but they did lose their last game on Friday night in Detroit. The Raptors also played Friday getting a win at home over the Bobcats. Confidence Meter: 6

1:05- Seattle Seahawks: I broke this game down in this post which explains why I think the Seahawks are the worst matchup possible for the Falcons. Confidence Meter: 4

1:30- Michigan Wolverines: Michigan heads to Columbus looking to get off to their best start in history, remain the sole undefeated team in Division I, and secure the number one spot in the AP poll. With all that on the line they’ll face their arch-rival Buckeyes who bounced back from their loss at the hands of the Illini with a ten-point win over Purdue their last time out. They’ll look to knock the Wolverines off their pedestal and could get it done especially at home. They did drop a game at home this season to then-#9 Kansas and the high-scoring Wolverines play a similar style of game to the Jayhawks. It could go either way, but I’ll take Michigan on the road. Confidence Meter: 3

4:35- Patriots win by Double Digits: The Patriots will win this game for the ten reasons I wrote about in this earlier postConfidence Meter: 6

5:20- AOR: This is the PGA prop with Russell Henley and Scott Langley leading by three strokes. Both players are rookies on tour with some veterans trying to chase them down. The lowest round yesterday was -8 so shots can be made up quickly at Waialae so I’ll pick someone from the field chasing down the rookies and getting the win. Confidence Meter: 3

5:33- Northwestern Wildcats: The Wildcats host the Iowa Hawkeyes who are still in search of their first Big Ten win. Iowa opened with a brutal Indiana-Michigan-Michigan State schedule and didn’t play horribly losing at home to the Hoosiers by four and the Spartans by just three. They did get blown out by Michigan on the road and go on the road for this one to Evanston. Northwestern is 10-6 after getting a nice road win over Penn State. They have dropped three of five, but I’ll take them to get the win at home in this Big 10 matchup. Confidence Meter: 4

8:00- Denver Nuggets: Denver is flying high having won four in a row as they host the Warriors. The Nuggets are expected to get Wilson Chandler back and are currently six point favorites. The Warriors have played much better on the road this year than in season’s past and are 11-7 away from Oakland as a result. Golden State is 23-12 overall but they have dropped two of three. Denver has been winning their games close over lack-luster teams but should be able to step up and dispatch the Warriors tonight. Confidence Meter: 5

9:30- 26 games or Fewer: This prop is for the number of games Novak Djokivic will play against Paul-Henri Matheiu down under in the
