As we head into this Tuesday on Streak for the Cash, it’s a good think tonight’s schedule is a jam-packed one. The early picks are a little thin since not as much is going down in international sport at this point, but there is a Epypt Premier League soccer game and an International Friendly if you need to get back in the green. Unless you’re just a most-wins player or are in the red, I’d stay away until the tons of picks tonight from the NHL, NBA, and college basketball. There’s plenty to choose from and these are the picks I’m watching today:

Streak Picks 2/5

10:00- Ithad Al Shortah win: Shortah is favored but haven’t won in their last four games. The problem is that El Entag El Harby has lost their last four in a row and six of their last seven. I’d go Shortah in a pinch, but stay away if possible. Confidence Meter: 2.5 (out of 10)

February 2, 2013; Gainesville, FL, USA; Florida Gators guard Mike Rosario (3) does the gator chomp after the Gators beat the Ole Miss Rebels at the Stephen C. O

7:02- Florida wins by Double Digits: The Gators are 11 point favorites as they put their new #2 ranking on the line traveling to Arkansas. They’ve won their last 10 by 14 or more including road trouncings or LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Mississippi StateThe Razorbacks have been decent at home with wins over Tennessee, Mississippi State, Vandy and Auburn in conference. They did lose at home to Syracuse who was then #6 but only by nine. Florida has been rolling right along and I don’t see the Hogs being able to keep this within 15. Confidence Meter: 7

7:04- Villanova Wildcats: The Wildcats are three point favorites as they take on DePaul. The Blue Demons are 1-7 in Big East play but have lost their last two in overtime to St. John’s and Notre Dame. Villanova got upset by Providence at home in their last game to drop to 4-5 in Big East. DePaul could be on the verge of getting a win, but I think ‘Nova needs this game too much and has shown it can buckle down and win. On the road, they’ve beaten USF who is a similar level team to the Demons, so I think they’ll be able to get te win. Confidence Meter: 5

7:00- Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pens will be out to avenge last week’s 4-1 loss to the Isles as they visit New York. The  Islanders are only 1-2-0 at home and Pittsburgh is 5-1-0 on the road. The reverse home-ice advantage seems to be working for both teams, so I’ll go with the road team. Since the last time these teams met, Pittsburgh has won three in a row while the Islanders split a home-and-home with the Devils. Confidence Meter: 3

7:35- Tampa Bay Lightning: The Lightning will be looking to bounce back from their first loss in six games last time out against the Rangers. The Flyers, on the other hand, won for their first time in four tries as they beat Carolina at home. Phily has been decent at home (2-1-0) while Tampa hasn’t played many on the road (1-1-0). In this game of contrasting styles, the Lightning score 4.9 goals per game to lead the league while the Flyers rank 22 of out the 30 teams in the NHL averaging just 2.3 goals per game. The game is in Philadelphia which keeps it from being a lock. The time-slot is a tricky  one especially if they need OT, but I do think the Lightning are a solid pick as they head north to the Wells Fargo Center. Confidence Meter: 6

8:05- Golden State Warriors: The Warriors are starting to get healthy and rolling winning four in a row. Houston’s defense has improved a bit gut they continue to allow their opponents to pile up points. Houston has won five of six, but have played lesser opponents. The Warriors are solid on the road this year and rolling right now so I think they’ll get the win despite being 2.5 point underdogs. Confidence Meter: 4

9:05- Michigan Winning Margin or tie: The Wolverines are favored by 7.5 as they host the Buckeyes looking to avenge their three-point loss in Columbus on January 13. The Wolverines are at home and couldn’t play much worse than the did on that day although they are coming off their second loss of the season which came at Indiana on Saturday. The Buckeyes average 6.57 three’s per game while shooting 37% from behind the arc. OSU is a bit overrated in my opinion and is pretty reliant on Deshaun Thomas. Contrastingly, Michigan has multiple scoring options and has yet to lose in Ann Arbor. I think they’ll win by double-digits. Confidence Meter: 6

10:35- Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks couldn’t have caught the Sharks at a better time early in the season as San Jose has slipped a bit dropping to 7-1-1 after a 7-0-0 start. The Sharks took their first regulation loss just last night in Anaheim and will be playing a Blackhawks team that hasn’t played since Saturday when they knocked off the Flames in Calgary in a shootout. Chicago’s two losses have both come in shootouts, and I think they’ll be able to go on the road and get this big road win despite being slight underdogs. San Jose is 5-0-1 at home while Chicago is 5-0-2 on the road. This could be the Western Conference Finals if these teams keep playing well and can avoid upsets since they currently sit 1-2 in the Conference standings. Confidence Meter: 3
