In one of today’s many Streak for the Cash picks, theChicago Blackhawks and right wing Patrick Kane (88) will look to continue their recent success as the head to Detroit to face the Red Wings. Saturday’s are awesome for Streak for the Cash players who have tons of options all day long, but this Sunday is no slouch either on ESPN’s daily picking game with wall-to-wall picks all day from college hoops, the NBA, the NHL, opening week of theMLS, and the PGA Tour with some international soccer and NASCAR picks mixed in.

After a great start to the day yesterday before fading a bit at the end, my picks have been solid overall. However, I lost my 6-gamer last night as the Sounders lost at home to Vancouver. Hopefully, I can keep the momentum from early yesterday rolling today, and we can all find plenty of green. Here’s they picks I’m watching closest today:

3/3 Streak Picks

11:00- Arsenal Win or Draw: In this morning’s North London derby, Tottenham Hotspur hosts Arsenal giving the draw. Arsenal has lost just two of their last 12 in EPL play, but the Spurs have won outright 10 of 15. This is a tough pick, but the Spurs competition hasn’t been great lately and the Gunners have won the last two times these teams have met although both of those were home games for Arsenal. This will be a great game to watch, but it’s a hard game to pick. Confidence Meter: 2 1/2 (out of 10)

12:30- Chicago Blackhawks: This is an easy one to break down. The Blackhawks are 18-0-3 as they take on their rival the Red Wings. Detroit is playing well, having won three of four, but have had an up-and-down year at just 10-8-3. The leading analysts have been pointing to this game as the one that could trip the ‘Hawks up, but I think Chicago will be up for this one against their Central-Division rivals. Chicago is just too red-hot to pick against. Confidence Meter: 7

1:05- Miami Heat: The Heat take their 13 game winning streak to Madison Square Garden today to take on New York in a great matchup. The Knicks have won their first two meetings with Miami, but the Heat took down a tough Memphis team in their last game and are dominating teams both at home and on the road. The Knicks had lost four in a row before winning their last three against the Sixers, Warriors, and Wizards. Miami is the better team and are playing so well right now, I’ll take them gladly even on the road against a team they’ve lost twice to. Confidence Meter: 6

1:30- Any Other Golfer: While we’ve already had a player win in his first PGA Tour start this year (Russell Henley), I don’t think that either Luke Guthrie or Michael Thompson wins their first tournament today. There are a number of big names still in contention and newcomers tend to fade quickly at PGA National with “The Bear Trap” and plenty of water to inflate their scores very quickly. Confidence Meter: 5

3:00- Ottawa Senators: Despite a better record, Ottawa is the underdog as they take on the Islanders in Uniondale this afternoon. Ottawa has lost their last two including a lost last night in Philadelphia. They’ll play tonight in back-to-back road games, but the Islanders have been bad at home this year (2-8-1) and have lost their last four to the Senators. I see Ottawa getting the win here as they continue their road trip mainly because New York at home has been far from confidence-inspiring. Confidence Meter: 4

3:00- Dallas Stars: The Blues head to Dallas as they face the Stars who continue to hover around .500 unable to gain any momentum. The Blues have been good on the road this season (6-2-1), but they may be without Andy McDonald, Ales Steen, and Vladimir Tarasenko who are all on IR at this point. In this game they’ll also be without Jaroslav Halak who will cede this start to Brian Elliott who has lost five in a row. The Stars in contrast, got Kari Lehtonen back from injury in their last game and he dominates St. Louis coming into play today with a 7-2-0 record with a 1.64 GAA. The Blues edged Dallas earlier this year, but Halak started that matchup and Lehtonen was forced to leave early. Based on the goaltender matchup, I’ll take the Stars. Confidence Meter: 3

4:05- Michigan Wolverines: Michigan is favored by four at home as they look to bounce back from their Penn State embarrassment earlier this week. Michigan has actually dropped their last four road games, but is still unbeaten at the Crisler Center at 16-0. They’ll face a tough test this afternoon from their in-state rival Spartans who are 11-4 in conference play and 6-4 on the road. Michigan State has lost their last two games including an eight-point loss last week at Ohio State. They haven’t played in a week so should be well rested, but also may come out a big rusty and coming back on the road could prove difficult. Since they’re the home team, I’ll go with the Wolverines. Confidence Meter: 4

5:10- LA Galaxy win: The Galaxy have won the last two MLS cups but won’t have Beckham this year to create from the midfield. They’ll also be without Landon Donovan for the first few months including their kickoff tonight as they take on the Chicago Fire. The Fire overhauled their midfield and will be looking to gel as a team in the early going which gives the Galaxy an advantage especially at home. Confidence Meter: 5

6:05- NC State: NC State  is four point favorites on the road as they take on Georgia Tech. The Wolfpack won by 13 when the teams met the first time but have had their struggles on the road and are just 2-6 on the season. The Yellow Jackets have had a rough year overall in the ACC at just 5-10 and have lost three of their last four at home including losses at home to UNC, Clemson, and Florida State. It’s not a lock given the Pack’s road struggles, but I think NC State will be able to ride their top-ten scoring offense to a win over Georgia Tech who ranks 260th in the nation in scoring. Confidence Meter: 6

7:30- Boston Bruins: The Bruins are on the second half of  back-to-back home games as they host their arch-rival Montreal Canadiens tonight a the TD Garden. Boston is 6-1-1 at home and has won six in a row. They beat Tampa Bay last night with backup goaltender Anton Khudobin and will have Tuukka Rask back in goal tonight. The Habs are riding their own hot streak and are 7-0-3 over their last ten. They also played last night losing in Pittsburgh 7-6 in overtime. The Canadiens may turn to their backup tonight since Carey Price started last night in their loss. Both these teams are playing well, but at home in a rivalry game the Bruins are a solid pick especially when you consider the starting goalie situation. Confidence Meter: 7

8:10- Pacers Winning Margin or Tie: Pacers are favored by seven at home as they go for their third win in three tries against the Bulls. They won the two teams’ last meeting by 10 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse where tonight’s game will take place. Indiana was won six of their last seven, and Chicago is coming off a road game last night in Brooklyn. Chicago averages 4.8 three’s a game and I think Indiana should win this by double-digits. Confidence Meter: 6

8:11- David West:West has averaged 18.8 points in his last 10 and 17.4 on the season. n his last five he’s been even better averaging just a shade under 20. In this prop he gives the tie as he matches first-half points with Carlos Boozer who is averaging 16.0 points in his last five games and 15.3 in his last 10. Both those numbers are consistent with his 15.6 season average. Both power forwards can take a backseat to their fellow frountcourt mates Roy Hibbert and Joakim Noah, but both are solid scoring options. This is a coin-flip prop, but I’m taking West since the last time these teams met West poured in 29 points while Boozer scored just 10. Boozer has scored 20+ in three in a row but had just two the game before that run. Confidence Meter: 3

Feb 23, 2013; Tucson, AZ, USA; Real Salt Lake forward Robbie Findley (10) controls the ball as Seattle Sounders defender Marc Burch (8) defends during the first half at Kino Sports Complex. The Seattle Sounders beat Real Salt Lake 1-0. Mandatory Credit: Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

10:10- Real Salt Lake win or Draw: RSL travels to San Jose to take on the Quakes who were the best team in the regular season last year. The Quakes start out the season a bit banged up and I think they’ll get all they can handle from a solid Salt Lake squad who did finish last year with the two-seed in the West. Confidence Meter: 4
