In one of the many Streak for the Cash picks today, the Wisconsin Badgers and guard Ryan Evans (5) take on the Indiana Hoosiers led by forward Cody Zeller (40) and guard Victor Oladipo (4). Earlier this season, Wisconsin defeated Indiana 64-59, but can they beat Indiana again? Find my pick below. Mandatory Credit: Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

If you thought the last few days of Streak for the Cash were intense, check out the board for today. There’s tons of picks from around the world of sports with the focus of course being on the college basketball conference tournaments winding down across the country.  If you like your madness in other forms, check out the picks form the EPL, PGA Tour, NBA, NHL, MLS, and the PNB Paribas Open tennis tournament. At the end of the day, there’s even picks from UFC 158 as theirs some nice MMA matchups in Montreal.

Here’s the picks I’ll be watching today as I try to improve after yesterday’s .500 record:

3/16 Streak Picks

8:45-Everton win or draw: Everton gets the draw at home as they take on Man City. While they may not be as well known as City, Everton is favored when getting the draw. They’ve lost just one of their last 18 home matches in EPL play while Man City is just 7-5-2 on the road this season. City is firmly in second place in the table, but Everton is still in the chase for a European league spot if they can finish the year strong. Everton earned a 1-1 draw earlier this season in Manchester, so I think they’re the way to go getting the draw at home this morning. Confidence Meter: 3 1/2 (out of 10)

Feb. 15, 2013; Stony Brook, NY, USA; Vermont Catamounts forward Clancy Rugg (31) drives to the net around Stony Brook Seawolves forward Eric McAlister (22) during the second half at Pritchard Gymnasium. Stony Brook won 65-48. Mandatory Credit: Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

11:33- Vermont Winning Margin: In the American East Final its the Vermont Catamounts against the Albany Great Danes in Burlington (VT). The Catamounts won both the teams’ earlier meeting by 25 at home and seven on the road.  UVM has won five of their last six and should be able to get teh win this morning. Will they ge the green as well? Albany averages 6 threes per game and Vermont is favored by 6. They made eight three’s in their game last night, but I think Vermont should be able to dominate especially since they’re at home to cove the 3PM of the Great Danes. Confidence Meter: 4

11:35- Memphis Winning Margin: Like Vermont, The Tigers will also look to secure their conference title by beating a team for the third time as they take on the golden Eagles of Southern Miss. Memphis won by 16 at home and by 13 at Southern Miss. Bound for the Big East, Memphis is trying to leave Conference USA with another unbeaten season. They’ve won 20 of their last 21 games against the Golden Eagles and their last 25 conference games overall. USM makes 6.9 threes per game, but I think Memphis will win by 10 or so making them winners on their way out of C-USA. This game will be played on a neutral court in Tulsa. Confidence Meter: 6

1:05- Any Other Result: Florida and Alabama meet in this SEC semifinal after the Crimson Tide knocked off Tennessee and the Gators chomped LSU yesterday. Florida and Alabama met just two weeks ago in Gainesville where the Gators won by 12. ‘Bama was the only team in conference play to stay within 15 in Gainesville, so I think they can do it again as they two teams meet in Nashville this afternoon. I do still expect Florida to win though. Confidence Meter: 4

1:05- Miami Hurricanes: Miami and NC State meet in a fascinating ACC semifinal between two solid programs. Both teams won yesterday by double digits as NC State knocked off Virginia and Miami held off the hard-charging BC Eagles in the second half. Miami won by one in Raleigh earlier this season in a great finish when both teams were ranked in the top 20. Now Miami is ranked #9 while NC State is unranked. The Wolfpack have played well lately winning five of six and eight of ten while the ‘Canes have lost three of their last six after starting conference play 13-0. This should be a high-scoring, highly-entertaining game which I’d avoid with my streak but not with my remote. I’ll go with Miami since they won at NC State where the Wolfpack is much better than they are on the road. This game is on a neutral court in Greensboro, NC. Confidence Meter: 3

1:33- Butler Bulldogs: Butler faces St. Louis in the A-10 semifinals in the third meeting of these schools this season. Saint Louis has claimed the first two by four in Indy and 17 in St. Louis. Can the Billikens complete the series sweep? They’re favored by four, but it’s hard to beat a rival three times in one season. The Bulldogs March pedigree is hard to argue with so I’ll take them to pull the upset and get to the A-10 championship. Confidence Meter: 2 1/2

1:45- Wisconsin 3-Pointers Made: The Badgers went into Bloomington and knocked off Indiana earlier this season and yesterday their workman-like approach and commitment to defense helped them end Michigan’s Big 10 tournament run. They’ll face the Hoosiers in the semifinal who torunced Illinois yesterday to advance to this point. Wisconsin averages 7 1/2 three-pointers made per game and they made seven in their first game against Indiana. While I’m not sure the Badgers have enough to pull the upset and beat Indiana for the second time this season, I do think this game will be close so I’ll take the points and go with the Badgers. Confidence Meter: 4

1:55- No Scott Doesn’t Lead at end of 3rd Round: I like Adam Scott to finish this tournament strong especially after his blistering -5 yesterday. There are just too many people on the leaderboard to take this pick though since so many scenarios could finish with him out of the lead. Like Tiger last week (who got the green), it’s definitely possible he’s in the lead but the odds are against it. If you lock this pick in, you’ll miss the rest of the afternoon action most likely. Confidence Meter: 6

3:00- Buffalo Sabres: The Buffalo Sabres welcome the Ottawa Senators to Buffalo tonight. Ottawa is missing a bunch of players due to injury and are just 1-2-4 in their last seven games. They’ve remained solid at home but are just 2-7-3 in their last 12 road games. Buffalo, on the other hand, has been playing well at home lately winning their last two at the First Niagara Center. The Sabres also expect to have Villie Leino back from a hip injury which should help their offense. Since Ottawa is so short-handed and Buffalo is playing well, ignore the records and take the Sabres. Confidence Meter: 4

3:10- Rafael Nadal wins 2-0: Nadal owns Berdych historically with a 13-3 record against the Czech all-time. Berdych hasn’t beaten Rafa since 2007, though, as Nadal has taken the last 12 matchups. Ten of those 12 victories were in straight sets. If Nadal is back to full-strength, he should win this in straight sets. That is a very big IF though. Confidence Meter: 5

Mar 9, 2013; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Sporting KC forward C.J. Sapong (17) passes the ball with Toronto FC defender Jeremy Hall (25) defending during the second half of a game at the Rogers Centre. Mandatory Credit: Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

3:15- Sporting Kansas City win: KC hosts the Chicago Fire in MLS play today as the Fire look for their first points of the season. Chicago opened with a 4-0 loss in LA before coming home and losing 1-0 to the New England Revolution. Sporting KC is 1-0-1 after winning their opener 3-1 at home against the Union before losing last week to Toronto on the road. KC is coming off the better year and should again be near the top of the table this year, so I think they’ll get the win at home against the Fire who are still struggling to find their form. Confidence Meter: 4

4:05- Michigan State Spartans: The Spartans and Buckeyes tangle for the third time this season with both teams earning home wins in their earlier meetings. Last year, the Spartans beat Ohio State in the Championship game of this tournament, but this year they meet in the semifinals. The Spartans had a tough time in their quarterfinal but finally put away a pesky Iowa team while OSU rolled past Nebraska no problem. Very little separates these two teams, but I think the Spartans found something in their second-half comeback over Iowa and will ride their new leadership group to the Big 10 Championship game. Ohio State got major scoring from Aaron Craft in their win over the Spartans and his offensive game is too unreliable to bank on that same output. The Spartans defense will work to take away DeShaun Thomas and the Buckeyes will need someone else to have a career game to hope to get this win. It’s definitely possible that that could happen, but I don’t think it’s likely. The Spartans depth and defense get them this win, in my opinion. Confidence Meter: 5

Feb 08, 2013; Las Vegas, NV, New Mexico Lobos guard Kendall Williams (10) drives to the basket as UNLV Runnin

6:05- New Mexico Lobos: The Lobos have just one hurdle between them and the MWC title-the UNLV Runnin’ Rebs. The game will be virtually a home game for the Rebs who were able to knock off New Mexico at the Thomas & Mack Center back on February 9. New Mexico has won eight of nine since then while UNLV has gone 8-2. This will be a close game especially due to its location so don’t just jump at the #15 in front of UNM and think its a given. Confidence Meter: 3

6:33- Ohio Bobcats: Ohio looks to avenge its two regular season losses to Akron as they meet in the MAC Championship tonight in Cleveland. Ohio’s only in-conference losses were to their in-state rival and at home they took the Zips to overtime before losing by seven. The reason I think the outcome will be different this time (besides the difficulty in beating your rival three times in a season) is that Akron won’t have Alex Abreu who is suspended for the rest of the season after being arrested for felony drug possession. The Zips lost their first game without Abreu, their former starting point guard, but they were able to bounce back and edge the same Kent State team yesterday in the semifinals. Ohio, meanwhile, bounced Wester Michigan (the top seed from the other half of the MAC) by 11 setting up a tasty rematch with the Zips. Confidence Meter: 6
