The Masters-Fantasy Golf Best Ball Challenge

If you’re looking for more fun ways to watch and enjoy the Masters, join us for the week of Best Ball. Tiger Woods has the highest “salary” of all but will he be on your team? Find my picks below. Mandatory Credit: Jack Gruber-USA TODAY Sports

If you’re fired up for the first Major of the year, you’re definitely not alone. This year’s tournament has even more buildup than usual with Tiger back to playing well, Phil winning already on tour, and the emergence of several young players as serious contenders to be the leaders of the “next wave.”

If you’re looking to make the tournament even more compelling, why not give fantasy golf a shot? We’ve been playing on Yahoo! Fantasy Golf all season long (archived posts here), but there’s also an option if you’re looking for just a short-term commitment and a fun way to play this weekend.

ESPN’s Best Ball Challenge is back this season and continues to be a quick, fun way to play the Majors. The scoring is extremely simple but does require some strategy. The format is “best ball” meaning your lowest score from your four players on each given hole is the score for your entry. Each player is assigned a salary and your job as the owner of your team is to assemble a foursome that collects birdies or better on as many holes as possible.

All you need to join is an ESPN ID, and you can join our group by searching fantasy CPR or by following this link.

My picks for the weekend in Yahoo are available here and these are similar but not exactly the same as my round 1 picks for Best Ball Challenge. I’ll give out round-by-round choices on my twitter account @FantasyCPR so make sure to follow and let me know your picks as well.

Round 1 Picks

Keegan Bradley-12.8
