Sunday is the last weekend day of the month in May’s Streak for the Cash and it’s well-stocked with enough picks to help you build your streak as we come to the closing days of May. On top of the usual MLB Picks there are options from the NHL and NBA playoffs as well as French Open women’s tennis. NCAA Softball, NCAA Baseball, the Indy 500, and the MLS. There’s plenty of options for you on this Sunday, and these are the ones I’ll be watching closest:

5/26 Streak Picks

9:30- AOR: Venus Williams faces off with Urszula Radwanska in this first round match at the French Open ad needs to win this in straight sets to get the green. Both of these players have sisters who are ranked much higher than them and appear to be on opposite ends of their career. Venus is 32 and fading in singles play while Urszula is 22 and just starting her time on tour. This match could go either way, but since Radwanska only needs a set to win this prop, I’ll take AOR. Confidence Meter: 4 (out of 10)

12:00- AS Roma: In this Italian Cup final, AS Roma faces off with Lazio. Both teams play their home games in the stadium where this game will be played in Rome so there is no real homefield advantage. Both teams missed the Champions League qualifying spots this year and will be looking to hoist a trophy to finish their season. Roma finished the year 18-8-12 while Lazio was 18-7-13. At the end of the year, Lazio went 3-2-3 in April and May matches while Roma went 4-3-1 over that same span. There’s very little that separates these teams and they played to a draw on April 8. This one should be an entertaining, hard-fought match and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if overtime is required. I’ll take Roma since they are in just slightly better form. Confidence Meter: 3

12:05- Florida wins by 3 Runs or More: Florida is the #2 ranked softball team in the country buy only won yesterday against UAB 4-3. In this round of the NCAA tournament (Super Regional) Florida is 9-0 at home and 10-2 all-time. I think they’ll win, but I don’t like giving the runs. Confidence Meter: 4

12:05- UConn: The Huskies and Irish were the seventh and eighth seed in the Big East Tournament but have battled their way to the championship where they’ll meet with an unlikely trip to Omaha on the line. Both teams have been huge surprises, but UConn has made the tournament in two fo the past three years. The Irish swept the season series, but the Huskies have been beating teams that dominated them during the season. There’s something about this Huskies team, but I wouldn’t put anything long on the line here. Confidence Meter: 4 1/2

1:07- Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles have won the last two games in Toronto and look to close out their series with a win over Chad Jenkins to take three of four from the struggling Blue Jays. Baltimore has been surging as they turn to Miguel Gonzalez who has solid in his first start back from the DL as he took on the Yankees. He has already beaten Toronto this season and looks to help the O’s get the green in this one. Confidence Meter: 6

1:35- Boston Red Sox: The Sox look to take three of four from the visiting Indians after rallying in the eighth inning yesterday to get the win. Dustin Pedroia has been carrying the Boston offense lately with Shane Victorino and Will Middlebrooks on the DL. The pitching matchup is an interesting one with Corey Kluber (3-3, 5.19 ERA) taking on Felix Doubront (3-2, 5.61 ERA). Both pitchers have been up-and-down all year but have looked better recently. The Sox are 15-11 this year at home and they’ve been able to get to the Tribe’s bullpen. I think this one will be close, but at home I’ll take Boston. Confidence Meter: 5

2:00- Matt Kuchar, Matt Every, or Chris Stroud: Kuchar, Every, and Stroud have all had good weeks at Colonial and Kuchar is probably the best single pick to win this. He leads by a stroke over Every, Stroud, Boo Weekkley, and Grahan DaLaet. There are 13 players within three strokes, though, so there’s plenty of players who can win with a strong finish. I’ll take this group because I think Kuchar will win, but any other golfer has been strong in these picks lately. Be ready for this to lock for the rest of the afternoon if this is the pick you take. Confidence Meter: 4

2:10- Los Angeles Angels: The Angels have started to play much better baseball having won their last seven in a row. Mike Trout has been excellent against the Royals while Mark Trumbo is also starting to hit much better. They’ll turn to Jerome Williams on the mound Sunday who has three quality starts in a row including eight shutout innings in Seattle in his last start. He’ll be opposed by Wade Davis who has allowed three earned runs or more in five of his last six starts including four in 5 1/3 when the Royals faced the Angels in LA. The Royals have lost their last seven at home and may have caught the Angels at the worst possible time as LA starts to turn things around. Confidence Meter: 7

3:45- Sporting Kansas City Win: Sporting KC is 6-3-4 in MLS play while Houston is just behind them in the table at 6-2-4. The two clubs just played two weeks ago in Houston where KC earned a 1-0 win over the Dynamo dealing them an extremely rare home loss. Sporting KC played to a disappointing draw last weekend in DC while Houston lost at home again, this time to New England. Houston isn’t in good form and KC is typically a solid squad at home. In MLS, it’s always hard to give the draw though. Confidence Meter: 5

4:10- Seattle Mariners: Seattle tries to avoid the sweep as they play the Rangers today after losing yesterday despite ace Felix Hernandez being on the mound. Today they’ll send their 1a option to the mound in Hisashi Iwakuma who had been lights out until his last start when he struggled a bit in Cleveland. He still comes in 5-1 with a 2.37 ERA. Texas counters with Nick Tepesch who is 1-3 in his last four starts and has a 5.40 ERA during that span. The Mariners lineup is hard to trust in, but I think they’ll get enough today to get Iwakuma the run support he needs to be the stopper for Seattle. Confidence Meter: 4

8:05- Atlanta Braves: Braves’ starter Julio Teheran is coming off his best start of the year as the Braves look to win their ninth in a row and send the Mets to their sixth straight loss. The Braves are playing very well and have the much better starter on the mound while the Mets continue to find ways to lose. Anything can happen in a regular season baseball game, but this is as close to a lock as any pick on the board today which probably means the Mets will find a weird way to win. Confidence Meter: 8

8:05- San Jose Sharks: At the beginning of the series, I said the home team would win every game in the series and the series has held to form through the first five games. Both teams are excellent at home and struggle on the road and have been unable to get a road win to turn the series. San Jose won both games at the HP Pavilion 2-1 and need a win to stay alive tonight as they host the Kings. The Sharks didn’t look good in Game 5, but since they’re at home I think they’ll bounce back and win. Confidence Meter: 5

8:35- Indiana Pacers: The Pacers didn’t play their best basketball in Miami which isn’t surprising since they struggle at times on the road. They still were in position to win both games and were just a defensive lapse from being up 2-0. At home, I think they’ll dominate the boards and take a 2-1 series lead just like they did last year. The series gets real interesting at that point…Confidence Meter: 3

11:05- Seattle Sounders win/draw: LA hosts the Seattle Sounders in a West Coast MLS clash for the night cap on SFTC. LA has won just one of their lats four but are 3-1-1 at home. Seattle is 4-3-3 overall  but have won their last three in a row and are unbeaten in their last six. This is a rematch of the Western Conference Finals from a year ago. Based on their form, I’m taking the Sounders to get at least a draw. Confidence Meter: 5
