Today’s MLB schedule is a light one with just four games on the slate, but that doesn’t mean you should take the day off from Streak for the Cash. Wimbledon gets us started this morning with props from Federer, Murray, and Wawrika on the Getleman’s side of things. There are a pair of soccer picks today as well from the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Tonight the few MLB games are on the board joined by Game 1 of the College World Series Final and game 6 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals as the Bruins try to avoid elimination. Here’s my picks for the day:

6/24 Streak Picks

July 8, 2012; London, UNITED KINGDOM; Roger Federer (SUI) celebrates after recording match point against Andy Murray (GBR) in the men

8:10- 9 or Fewer: Roger Federer starts his title defense against Victor Henescu who he has never lost to in five meetings. Feds has never faced him on grass but he’s won every set but one and 11 of the 14 they’ve played by 6-3 or better. If he does that three times it’s under and since he’s so good here, I think he’ll move on fairly easily in this one. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

11:00- France U20 wins by 2+: France beat a solid Ghana squad 3-1 and is one of the better teams at the U20 World Cup. The USA went down 4-1 to Spain and a similar result should be expected today against a stacked France team made up of many players with professional experience. Confidence Meter: 5

11:55- No Murray doesn’t lose 5+ games in any set: Murray is one of the biggest questions coming into Wimbledon. If he’s healthy, he’s proven he can compete here getting all the way to the finals last year before going down to Roger Federer. His health is a question, but I think he can cruise past Benjamin Becker to start his run this year. Confidence Meter: 4

2:00- Any Other Result: This prop is Spain wins by 3+ or not as they take on Ghana. Ghana is the defending champ at the U20 World Cup although the did go down 3-1 to France in their opener. I think they’ll keep this close enough to cover this prop probably losing by a similar 3-1 or 2-0 score. Confidence Meter: 3

7:10- Toronto Blue Jays: Toronto has won 11 in a row and try to set a franchise record tonight with win #12. They’ll need to beat their division-rival Tampa Bay Rays to get the record, and give the ball to Esmil Rogers who has gone 3-2 with a solid 3.14 ERA in his 27 games (4 starts) this season. Rogers has won his last two outings allowing just three earned runs total in 13 2/3 innings. He’ll be opposed by Jeremy Hellickson who was good against Boston his last time out but was shelled the outing before that by the Royals in his roller-coaster season. Confidence Meter: 6

Jun 21, 2013; Omaha, NE, USA; UCLA Bruins shortstop Pat Valaika (10) and second baseman Cody Regis (18) reach for a ground ball against the North Carolina Tar Heels during the College World Series game at TD Ameritrade Park. Mandatory Credit: Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

8:05- UCLA Bruins: The Bruins pitching has been beyond locked-in during the College World Series with a 1.36 ERA in their 8-0 run. They’ll look to beat the Bulldogs tonight in what promises to be a very entertaining, low-scoring CWS final. This is the first in this best-of-three series. Confidence Meter: 4

8:06- UCLA Runs in first 2 Innings or Tie: The Bruins baseball team gets the tie here so they’re the pick since I doubt the Bruins score in the first period. Even if they do, UCLA could easily get a run or two and still win. Confidence Meter: 6

8:15- Boston Bruins: The Bruins and Blackhawks have been dead even in almost every way this series so it makes sense that this series would go seven. Both teams are so even though, it’s a hard pick to make. Boston has been excellent at home during the season, but they did lose game four in Boston to the ‘Hawks so nothing in anywhere close to certain. Confidence Meter: 3

8:16- No no Goal in first 9 min of 1st period: No is a very strong pick here, but it only takes one defensive lapse or a great offensive play to make this a yes. Confidence Meter: 7

10:05- Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers and Giants renew their rivalry in their third series of the season tonight. San Francisco has taken five of their first six meetings but will have to face Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu tonight who has been excellent in his first year in the Majors. Tonight he’ll be opposed by Madinson Bumgarner who  has also been very good lately. It’s a rivalry game, so I’ll take the home team and the Dodgers do come in having won two in a row. Confidence Meter: 3

10:10- San Diego Padres: The Padres dropped their last two games, and turn to Eric Stults to get things turned around. Stults has been excellent and the Phillies offense has been struggling. They will have their own shining starter on the mound as they give the ball to Cliff Lee. Lee and Stults should be a nice pitching matchup, but the game on the West coast makes me thing the Phillies on the road (17-22) will go down to the Padres who are 24-16 at Petco. Confidence Meter: 4
