It’s a new month which means a fresh new start in Streak for the Cash which should definitely be enough to cure your case of the Monday’s. Today’s board has plenty of Wimbledon action from a big day of Tennis at the All England Club. There’s a soccer match from the League of Ireland cup and a Tour de France pick to keep things varied with a full slate of Major League Baseball mixed in. Here’s my look at some of the picks for today:

7/1 Streak Picks

6:55- Any Other Cyclist: This prop will take you past the Serena pick, so I’d stay away. If you do decide to pick it, I’d go any other although Peter Sagan is +160 to win. It’s always hard to just take one guy against the field even when he is the favorite. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

8:10- Serena Williams: In a day 1 gift, the Streakmaster has bestowed Serena vs Sabine Lisicki in the Ladies’ 4th round in a straight up pick. Lisicki has dropped every set she’s played against Serena with two games being the most she’s won in any of them. Serena beat her 6-1, 6-2 and then was leading 4-1 when Lisicki retired after rolling her ankle. Lisicki did just knock of Samantha Stosur, but Serena at Wimbledon is about as close to a lock as you’ll get on Streak for the Cash. Lisicki could pull the stunner like many have already in this tournament, but you won’t get a better pick than this all month. Confidence Meter: 10

12:30- Any Other Result: Djokovic takes on Tommy Haas in what is much less of a slam dunk. Haas has actually beaten the Djoker three times including in their only meeting at Wimbledon. Haas also beat him earlier this season. All Haas has to do to win this prop is take one set, and I think that’s more than likely to happen. I wouldn’t count on it, but I think it’s more like Haas wins a set than loses 3-0. Confidence Meter: 4

Jun 26, 2013; St. Petersburg, FL, USA; Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher R.A. Dickey (43) is congratulated by manager John Gibbons (5) after he threw a compete game 2-hit shut out to beat the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0. 1:07- Toronto Blue Jays: The Jays send a rejuvenated R.A. Dickey to the mound against the Tigers and rookie Jose Alvarez. Dickey has been better lately including his best start of the season his lat time out in Tampa Bay. Alvarez took the loss in his last start against the Angels and will have to deal with Jose Reyes back from injury and Jose Bautista who has heated up lately and usually crushes Tigers pitching. Confidence Meter: 5

2:00- 3 or 4 games: I think Haas gets a set (see above) but that he loses this one 6-4. It’s pretty much a coin flip pick although the first two sets may give an idea of what to expect. Confidence Meter: 2

2:45- Silgo Rovers win: This is a Cup soccer game which means its not part of the regular league schedule so intensities tend to be inconsistent. Silgo won 2-1 during the regular season and I think they’ll get the win in this one even on the road at Limerick. Both teams play their league soccer in the Irish Premier League where Limerick is 5-7-6 and Silgo is 11-5-2. Confidence Meter: 3

7:07- Cincinnati Reds: The Reds Bronson Arroyo got hammered in his last start but had been good in several home starts before his ill-fated trip to Oakland. He’ll be opposed in this game by Michael Kickham who has struggled in the Major Leagues since being recalled. I think this will be a relatively high-scoring game that the Reds pull out as Arroyo pitches just well enough to get the W. Confidence Meter: 6

7:08- Yes at least 1 player gets a hit in 1st PA: This pick’s a fun but tricky pick since these two players, Posey and Votto, each get a hit over 1/4 of their plate appearances it gives a slight edge to the side of this prop that says EITHER gets a hit. It’s a nice little jump-start pick if you’re in the red, bit I wouldn’t put much long on it unless you’re going straight-up for the most wins and not worrying about building your streak. Confidence Meter: 3

7:10- Miami Marlins: Don’t look now, but the Marlins may not be as horrible as we thought. They’ve won seven of ten and the last two against the Padres as they send Jose Fernandez to the mound who has probably been their best pitcher on the season.  He’s been solid in his last five starts allowing two earned runs or fewer. He’s been especially good at home where he’s 2-0 with a 1.76 ERA while holding opponents to just a .189 batting average. He’ll face Jason Marquis who has put together a solid season, but has had some issues on the road. I think the Fish get the green here. Confidence Meter: 5

8:10- Tampa Bay Rays: Matt Moore had a rough June, 2-3 record and a 8.39 ERA, but finished strong striking out 11 Tigers on his way to win number 10 on the season. Tonight he faces the Astros in Houston. The Astros counter with Dallas Keuchel who has been inconsistent and struggled at hitter-friendly Minute Main Park. Confidnece Meter: 6

9:10- 0 or 1 Runs: Once the game is going we’ll have a better idea of the right pick for this prop. If the game is close, both sides have solid bullpens and should be able to allow under 2 runs in 2 innings, but I’ll let you know on twitter @FantasyCPR if that changes. Confidence Meter: 4
