After yesterday’s stunning open to the month with heavy favorites Serena Williams taking over 100,000 streakers down with her, the second day of July has yet another full day of picks in front of us. This morning the Ladies Quarterfinals in Wibledon feature a nice matchup between Agnieszka Radwanska and Li Na, there’s a Tour de France picks, and the FIFA U-20 World Cup Round of 16 gets underway in Turkey. This afternoon there’s more soccer from Europe, and then tonight the board is well stocked with MLB and WNBA options. Here’s the picks I’ll be looking at to find the greens today:

7/2 Streak Picks

Jan 26, 2013; Melbourne, AUSTRALIA; Na Li (CHN) returns a shot against Victoria Azarenka (BLR) in the women

8:10-Li Na: Na has won six of the ten times she’s faced Radwanska including four of the last five. Na and Radwanska have split a pair of meetings at Wimbledon, but since Na is slightly favored and has dominated recently I’ll take her to win this one. Confidence Meter: (out of 10)

9:15- Omega Pharma or Garmin-Sharp: According to cycling followers, these are the two best teams. The other elite team is Team Sky who are dealing with injuries, so these two make solid picks against the field. Confidence Meter: 3

1:00- Spain U20 win: Spain’s dominance quickly came to an end in the Confederations Cup, but they’re -200 to advance as they take on Mexico. The Mexicans advanced on goal differential, but have struggled in the U20 World Cup. Spain’s team is one of the favorites to win the whole tournament. Confidence Meter: 7

2:00- France U20: France takes on host Turkey and should be able to move on. France has a solid team with lots of pro experience but have underwhelmed  in the tournament to this point. I think they will advance here, but they’re not nearly as good a pick as Spain. Confidence Meter: 5

Jun 30, 2013; Boston, MA, USA; Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion (10) congratulates shortstop Jose Reyes (7) after hitting a home run during the seventh inning against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Mandatory Credit: Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

7:07- Toronto Blue Jays: Detroit has lost six of seven while Toronto has won seven in a row at home. Detroit sends Doug Fister to the mound who has been pretty good recently against Chien-Ming Wang who was hammered at Fenway in his last start. The starting pitching matchup favors Detroit, but they’ve been struggling hitting while the Blue Jays offense seems to be getting in gear. It’s a coin-flip pick in my opinion, but I’ll go with the home team. Confidence Meter: 2

7:10- Cincinnati Reds: The Reds Home Bailey faces the Giants Tim Lincecum as the two teams try to avoid the rain that shortened last night’s 8-1 Reds romp. Lincecum has been a mess lately going 1-6 with a 5.24 ERA in his last eight starts. He’s been even worse on the road and not very good against the Reds in the regular season either. The Reds are 27-14 at home this season while the Giants are just 15-28 on the road. Confidence Meter: 7

8:05- Texas Rangers: The Rangers face Joe Saunders for the fourth time this season looking to continue their recent success. Saunders is 0-2 against Texas this season with a 7.02 ERA. On the road this season, he’s 1-5 with a 6.46 ERA, and in his career he’s 0-7 with a 9.91 ERA in Arlington. The Mariners have lost seven of their last 11 and Texas swept them last month in Arlington by a combined score of 23-3. Confidence Meter: 6

8:10- Tampa Bay Rays: The Rays welcome back David Price from the DL as they take on the hapless Astros. This should be another easy win like last night for TB, but with Price coming off the DL it’s less predictable than the Rangers or Reds games. Confidence Meter: 5

10:05- Oakland Athletics: The Cubs visit Oakland where the A’s are 26-13 at home and have been on a roll lately. The A’s A.J. Griffin was excellent in his last start pitching a complete game shutout against the Reds. Tonight he’ll be opposed by Scott Feldman who the Athletics crushed in his time with Texas. The A’s should be able to get the win, but the Cubs offense has actually been decent lately, so it’s not a lock even though its a strong pick. Confidence Meter: 6

10:35- LA Sparks: Despite the pick %’s, the Sparks are 3.5 point favorites since they’re so strong at home. They’ve won 15 straight at home and all five of their home games this season. Both of these teams are probably playoff teams, and both play well at home while struggling a bit on the road. Take the home team. Confidence Meter: 4
