We’re back! Just in time for the weekend, my Streak for the Cash picks return to FantasyCPR after celebrating the birth of my fourth child this week on the fourth of July. After a couple days of getting him and mom settled, I’m back for my daily picks post on CPR. It’s good to be back today with a full board in front of us this Saturday but not the usual big numbers of picks. There are some very intriguing ones, though, so lets get to the ones I’ll be watching

7/6 Streak Picks

Jul 4, 2013; London, United Kingdom; Sabine Lisicki (GER) celebrates recording match point during her match against Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) on day 10 of the 2013 Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Mandatory Credit: Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

9:10- Sabine Lisicki: Lisicki has run the gauntlet to get the the championship knocking out Serena and Radwanska both in the top 4 in the world. She’ll go up against Marion Bartoli who has cruised to wins in most of her matchups but hasn’t played anyone extremely difficult either. Lisicki is a solid -215 favorite and should be able to win at Wimbledon behind her hi-power serve. Confidence Meter: 5

1:05- Baltimore Orioles: The O’s send Chris Tillman to the mound in the Bronx this afternoon as they take on Andy Pettitte and the Yankees. Pettitte hasn’t been great this year while Tillman has had something of a breakout season going 10-2 with a 3.68 ERA. However, Pettitte has been good throughout his career against the O’s while Tillman has struggled against New York. I’ll still take recent history and Baltimore for the win. Confidence Meter: 3

2:10- Oakland Athletics: Oakland continues their road trip to KC as Jarrod Parker faces off with Ervin Santana in what should be a great pitchers duel. Santana hasn’t gotten a win in almost a month despite pitching pretty well. Parker has also turned things around and is 4-0 with a 2.15 ERA in his last seven starts. Parker will try to get the A’s their eighth win in their last 10 games. The starting pitching matchup is basically a wash, but the A’s have the momentum so I’ll take them to pull it out in the end. Confidence Meter: 4

Jul 5, 2013; Chicago, IL, USA; Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder Starling Marte (6) steals second base as against the Chicago Cubs during the eighth inning at Wrigley Field. Mandatory Credit: David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

4:05- Pittsburgh Pirates: The Pirates are 24-17 on the road and 53-32 overall as they play their second game at Wrigley where the Cubs are just 17-23 and 36-48 overall. Charlie Morton goes for the Pirates trying to get to the seventh inning for the first time this season. He’s been effective for the most part with just a 2.50 ERA but hasn’t stuck around long due to rain delays, pitch count, and his own limitations. He’ll be opposed by Edwin Jackson who is 4-10 so far this season with an ERA of 5.75. Jackson has struggled at home going just 1-5 but his one win was against the Pirates. On any day in baseball the worst team can beat the best, but its not the most likely scenario  While the Cubs aren’t the worst, they would need that kind of a result to get the W today. Confidence Meter: 7

7:00- Indiana Fever: The Fever are -4.5 as they host the Sun who still don’t have their starting PG Kara Lawson. Both teams have gotten off to a rough start, but the Fever have won their last two since Tamika Catchings returned. Confidence Meter: 5

Jul 1, 2013; Houston, TX, USA; Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Matt Moore (55) pitches against the Houston Astros during the first inning at Minute Maid Park. Mandatory Credit: Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports

7:15- Tampa Bay Rays: Matt Moore and Chris Sale meet in another tasty pitching matchup tonight. Sale has looked hittable in his recent starts, while Moore seems to rediscovered his early-season form and is back to his ace-level self. The Rays offense is the better of the two teams and they’re at home, so I think they’ll win in a well-pitched entertaining game. Confidence Meter: 6

7:15- San Francisco Giants: Madison Bumgarner has been excellent lately going 4-1 with a 2.18 ERA. His one loss came last week against LA who he historically has dominated (6-3, 2.54 ERA). Bumgarner will be opposed by Stephen Fife who has also been good against the Giants in his brief MLB career. The Giants are just 1-9 in their last ten, but I think they’ll pull out the win tonight. Confidence Meter: 3

7:35- New England Revolution win: The Revs are 3-3-2 at home and  6-3-7 overall as they host the Quakes who are just 1-2-7 on the road. While I always hate give the draw in MLS, I’ll give it here since San Jose has been so pathetic on the road. Confidence Meter: 4

8:05- Boston Cannons: In this Major League Lacross match the Cannons host the Charlotte Hounds. Boston won at Charlotte earlier this season 15-13 and have won their last three since changing coaches to John Tucker. These two teams are both fighting to get into the playoffs with a handful of games left on the schedule. Confidence Meter: 5

10:05- Boston Red Sox: The Red Sox are rolling having won five in a row and nine of their last ten. They’ll face Jerome Williams of the Angels who will be going on two days rest after getting shelled for seven runs on Wednesday while lasting just 1 2/3. The Red Sox offense is clicking and they have the best record in the AL coming into play tonight. Confidence Meter: 7

Jul 3, 2013; Seattle, WA, USA; Seattle Sounders FC forward Obafemi Martins (9) controls a pass against D.C. United defender Ethan White (15) during the second half of a 2-0 Seattle victory at CenturyLink Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

11:17- Seattle Sounders win or Draw: Seattle has earned at least a draw in 10 of their 15 games this season.Vancouver is 5-3-0 at home, but I think the Sounders will be able to get a draw since they’ve been playing better lately winning three of their last four. Confidence Meter: 3

Good to have you back Zach! I thought something had happened…CONGRATS on the birth of your 4th child and on my Birthday too!!!! :)
I know all about the sleepless nights having an 11 month old baby girl. :)

I didn’t realize that you won the ESPN-1-N-Done Playoffs! Awesome stuff!!!
For tomorrow Djoker is a shoe in v Murray! As a Brit I know the media and fans in Britain put too much pressure on Murray and tbh he doesn’t have the mental strength to beat Djoker at Wimbledon! He may win a set or 2 but Djoker will always come back! GL tomorrow… forgot to tell you I had a w17 last month on SFTC beating my previous best by 1…

awesome! congrats on your W17… Yeah, I finished strong and had a few bounces going my way in 1-N-Done… Didn’t expect to win, but LeBron was huge in game 6 and I has saved all my Spurs for the Finals… I agree on Djokovic although it would be cool to watch Wimbledon react if he pulls it off.

Forgot to add that it’s been 77 years since a Brit won the Men’s Wimbledon (Fred Perry 1936), there’s been a lot of hard luck stories since and tomorrow will be no different! GL…
