The Boston Globe is reporting that Celtics’ All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo will get a minutes increase Tuesday night.  This comes on the heels of the Jerryd Bayless (sprained toe) injury.  Bayless is expected to be out for 7-10 days, which seems to be forcing coach Brad Stevens’ hand.  Rondo has played 19 and 21 minutes, respectively, in his first two games back since undergoing ACL surgery, but Coach Stevens says that could increase to 25 during tonight’s game in Miami.  “It just continues to increase as he feels better”, said the Celtics’ coach. “There’s nothing on the day after the game that would tell you otherwise, i.e. swelling, etc.”  This is great news for Rondo’s fantasy basketball owners.  In the 20 minutes per game he’s played so far, he’s averaging seven points, four assists, four rebounds and 1.5 steals.  All of those numbers, as well as his 36.8 percent shooting, should increase as he gets more acclimated with the game.  Rondo has averaged 12 points, 11.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds over his last three seasons.

Other Injury Notes:

Magic center Nikola Vucevic (concussion) has been ruled out for tonight’s game in Brooklyn.  This comes as no surprise, as the team will exercise caution with their 23-year-old center.  It will be the eighth-straight game he’s missed with the ailment.  Kyle O’Quinn (100 percent available) has performed nicely over his past three games, averaging 10 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks, and could be a decent streamer vs. the Nets tonight. … In other Magic news, point guard Jameer Nelson (leg) intends to play tonight.  It’s welcoming news for his owners.  Nelson is playing his best ball of the season right now, averaging 17 points, 8.6 assists and 2.6 threes over his last seven games.  He has 10+ assists in three of those contests.
