Fantasy Basketball: Celtics’ Avery Bradley out a couple of weeks

Injuries continue to pile up that can affect your Fantasy Basketball team, the latest of which saw Boston Celtics’ guard Avery Bradley go down with sprained right ankle in Tuesday night’s matchup against the Miami Heat.

While it could impact your fantasy team, the rest could ultimately be a good thing for Bradley as he was also dealing with a sore hand.

Bradley has been a bit of a surprise this season and his loss could have a big impact.

Always known as a great defender, Bradley has found a much bigger role in the Celtics’ offense as well under first-year head coach Brad Stevens.

That has resulted in Bradley averaging a career-high 14.8 points per game—second on the team behind athletic swingman Jeff Green.

It was also going to be interesting to see Bradley grow as a pair with point guard Rajon Rondo especially since the Celtics have cleared Rondo for more minutes, since he has been limited thus far in his return from ACL surgery.

Bradley’s injury could be a plus if you own any of the Celtics’ bigs as because Boston is very thin at both guard spots, Stevens will likely have to employ bigger lineups.

It could also be a boost to Phil Pressey and the newly signed Vander Blue, as both guards could be worth keeping an eye on in the short term as they are both likely to receive a decent chunk of minutes.
