Fantasy Basketball: Kings lose Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins to injury

Wednesday turned out to be a really rough night as the injury bug hit Fantasy Basketball owners in a big way.

I already looked at the San Antonio Spurs losing Kawhi Leonard with a fractured finger and things got much worse for fantasy owners in Houston last night as a pair of Sacramento Kings went down with injuries that could really hurt your fantasy team.

The Kings lost forward Rudy Gay to a left Achilles tendon injury and leading scorer DeMarcus Cousins to left ankle sprain against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Both guys pending loss, though no timetable has been given on their returns, can be potentially crippling to fantasy owners.

Gay, who tied a career high with 41 points on Tuesday night, entered the game averaging 20.2 points and 6.2 rebounds a game this season.

Cousins, entered the game averaging 23.1 points and 11.7 rebounds and has emerged as a true fantasy stud.

The good news is that neither injury is considered serious, as Cousins is already listed as day-to-day.

The bad news is that you will likely have to go without both guys in your lineups for the rest of the week, which is a big blow in the middle of the week.
