low five:

Point Guard: Patrick Mills, SA ($4,800): I listed Mills here last night, along with Cory Joseph, and am doing so again tonight — minus the Joseph recommendation.  Last night, Mills managed 39.5 FPs vs. a Los Angeles Clippers squad that has been decent against opposing PGs.  Tonight, the matchup is much tastier with the Spurs heading to Portland to face a Blazers squad that ranks dead last vs. PGs over the past 15 days.  Mills may not get close to the nearly 40 FPs that he had last night, but he’s got a chance.  Either way, I have no doubt that he will surpass his value threshold of just 24 FPs.  I’m setting the floor at 30 FPs tonight.

Shooting Guard: Marco Belinelli, SA ($4,200): Marco Belinelli has been on a real roll as of late, having topped 25 FPs in each of his last three games and should be able to continue that success tonight vs. a Portland Trail Blazers team that ranks just 24th against opposing SGs.  Also worth a look tonight if Dion Waiters is out, is C.J. Miles, CLE ($4,000).

Small Forward: Kyle Singler, DET ($3,900): Kyle Singler was a nice value play last night, and should be again tonight vs. the same opponent and with similar minutes.  Singler has a value threshold of 19.5 FPs, and with him averaging better than that over the last five games, I think he should have no problem passing that mark tonight.

Power Forward: Jason Thompson, SAC ($4,200): In a game that will be without Andrew Bogut and DeMarcus Cousins, Thompson should be able to put up good numbers tonight vs. the Golden State Warriors.  I’m not suggesting that he’s going to light it up, but merely that he’s got a great chance to reach his value threshold of 21 FPs.

Center: Tyler Zeller, CLE ($3,600): Zeller is more of a punt option than a surefire big production value play tonight against the Orlando Magic.  Nonetheless, with such a low value threshold of just 18 FPs, I’m pretty sure he will reach that and do so at a salary that gives you some cash to spend up at the other positions.  I also think that given his big performance last night, he will be heavily owned, which should mitigate some of the risk.  If you need money to spend elsewhere, Zeller represents a nice punt option that should reach value.

Thank you and good luck tonight !!!
