Orlando Magic rookie guard Victor Oladipo will sit out Saturday’s contest vs. the San Antonio Spurs with a sore left ankle.  Fantasy basketball owners will need to head to the waiver wire to find a replacement.

Oladipo is having a fine season and is in contention for the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.  The second overall pick in this year’s draft is averaging 13.9 points, 4.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.  He’s really turned it on of late though, scoring 14.6 points over his last six games.

Saturday will be the second straight game he has sat out and fantasy owners should be running to the waiver wire to snatch up Moe Harkless, who is owned in just 36.5 percent of leagues.

Harkless has been flourishing lately, and stepped it up big time while Arron Afflalo was on the shelf.

Over his last five games, the 20-year-old Harkless has averaged 14.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.2 blocks, and 1.8 3-pointers.  Those numbers have him ranked 32nd on Basketball over the past week, and 74th in the past 14 days.

It looks as if Harkless is finally getting comfortable out there and has found himself in coach Jacque Vaughn‘s good graces.

If Harkless isn’t available in your league, Ronnie Price (eight points, five assists on Wed.) and E’Twaun Moore (10.0 points over last three) are both options in very deep formats, even with Jameer Nelson set to return today.

Price and Moore are both available in 100 percent of leagues.
