Fantasy Baseball: Ryan Vogelsong headlines Week 11 streaming options

Last week in my post for Week 10 streaming options, I touched on four starters that would be great plug-and-plays. It hasn’t been the best week for streamers, but If you started Collin McHugh you were rewarded with a win where McHugh went five shutout innings and allowed only four batters to reach base (two hits, two walks). The win marks his second consecutive start where he hasn’t given up a run, and his Yahoo! ownership level has jumped to 38%. Get on board if you can, because he’s got a nice match up in Minnesota on Sunday.

Let’s take a look at four more options, all of which will get home starts. Consider these streamers with Week 11 around the corner.

Ryan Vogelsong (31% owned, Yahoo!)
Next start: June 9th vs Washington
Notes: In the last 30 days, Vogelsong is returning near-top 50 value in Yahoo! leagues with 8.4 K/9, yet he’s just 31% owned. In 37.2 innings at home this year he hasn’t allowed a home run and carries a 2.15 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. AT&T Park has been pitcher friendly and Vogelsong gets the Nationals next week.

Bartolo Colon (28% owned)
Next start: June 13th vs Milwaukee
Notes: In 2013-14 Colon put together the best season of his 18-year career, but things aren’t going as swimmingly this year. Despite winning two of his last three starts on the road, I view him as a home-only option because he carries a 2.30 ERA at Citi Field and a 5.89 ERA elsewhere. He’ll get the Brewers at home next week.

Chris Young (10% owned)
Next start: June 11th vs New York Yankees
Notes: In his last two starts, Young has a 2.19 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 8.0 K/9, including a defeat of the mighty Tigers. He’s been great at home this year (1.89 ERA) and I like him at home again next week versus the Yankees.

John Danks (3% owned)
Next start: June 10th vs Detroit
Notes: Danks isn’t a typical streaming target, but in his last three outings he has a 1.21 ERA and 0.76 WHIP. He’s rolling right now and gets the Tigers next. He’s already beaten them on the road this year (6.1 innings, 1 ER, but just 1 K), and is a decent play for next week while he’s hot.
