Jesse Hahn worth adding for pitching depth

As we get ready to head to the mid-season point of the fantasy baseball season, finding another quality arm or two could be key to winning or losing a league.

You can always find pitching if you look hard enough and right now you should have your eyes focused on San Diego Padres starter Jesse Hahn.

Hahn got roughed up in his first outing but has rebounded very nicely and should be a guy that is worth a look if you are pitching starved at the moment.

He earned his third win with six excellent innings against San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, recording a career high eight strikeouts.

That marked Hahn’s third straight quality start and he has allowed just two runs over 19.0 innings in that span.

He also lowered his impressive FIP down to 3.02 with a 2.38 ERA.

Hahn currently has a nice 10.72 K/9 to go along with a high 58.3% GB rate, which is an excellent sign going forward.

He is missing bats and forcing weak contact, which are signs that he should be worth a look, especially in deep leagues and NL-only formats.

Hahn’s next start comes against the Cincinnati Reds at home, so he’s worth a look this week and potentially for the rest of the season.
