College Football odds & predictions for September 4-5 week 2

As you can see from my results post, I had a poor first week. I finished off week 1 at a disappointing 14-24. Hey, no one ever said that this was an exact science.

Due to this, everything posted here is for entertainment purposes only. I cannot be responsible for you losing your house, first born, or any other worldly possession. I am a simple man. I cannot have that on my conscience.

This week, there is only one college game on Thursday, and two on Friday. This post will be short and sweet.

After the humbling week I had in the opening week, I am aiming for two out of three of these.

Hey, I have to start somewhere!

Arizona(-7.5) at UTSA: The Roadrunners looked dominant against Houston, that said, can they keep up with a Rich Rodriguez offense? UTSA is better than the UNLV team that Arizona destroyed in the opener, and they are at home, but this might be too low. I like what Larry Coker has done in San Antonio, but this is a tall order, even for him. Give me Arizona.

Pittsburgh(-4.5) at Boston College: James Connor ran wild on Delaware, but the Eagles are an entirely different animal. Who would you pick in a fight, an eagle or a blue hen? That’s what I thought. Then again, a panther is probably more dangerous than an eagle. Give me Pitt.

Washington State(-3.5) at Nevada: For Cody Fajardo and the Wolfpack offense, it was business as usual in the opener against Southern Utah. The defense? Well, that is a different story. They gave up their share of big plays against Southern Utah. Washington State has an offense that is on it’s way to becoming one of the best in divsion 1, but their defense is a mess. Is it enough of a mess to lose to Nevada? Maybe. They let Rutgers run (and pass) all over them. I still think Nevada’s lackluster defensive performance against a 1-AA team trumps the Cougars’ issue with Rutgers. Give me the Leaches

The odds and predictions for the early Saturday games will be up tomorrow evening, so stay tuned!
