Sunday’s another great day for Streak for the Cash players with over 20 options to build your streak as we near the midpoint of the month. Today’s options start with a pair of EPL games as the English soccer season winds down. Then the focus shifts back across the pond as the NCAA Lacrosse Quarterfinals join a full afternoon of Major League Baseball, the PGA Tour, the NHL Playoffs, and the NBA Playoffs. If you’d prefer to focus on European sports there are options from EuroLeague Basketball and French Ligue soccer as well. Tonight, there’s more Mexican Primera Division socccer on ESPN2 along with Sunday Night Baseball, an MLS match, and two more NHL games. Of all the options, these are the ones I like the most:

5/12 Streak Picks

8:30- Tottenham Hotspur win: Tottenham heads to Stoke City having earned a win or draw in their last six EPL matches. They are in the midst of a contentious battle with Arsenal for the final spot in the top-4. Spurs have a chance to pass Arsenal with a win at Stoke this morning. Stoke is solidly in the middle of the table with a 9-14-13 record overall and a 7-7-4 record at home. The two sides played to a scoreless draw earlier this season, but Spurs are in form while Stoke is 2-1-3 in their last six and have dropped two of their last three home matches. Confidence Meter: 5 (out of 10)

11:00- Swansea City win, draw, or lose by 1: In the second EPL match on Streak, the Swans head to Manchester to take on Man U. Man U already secured the Premier League title while Swansea City is currently ninth with a 11-13-12 record. They’ve gone 5-5-8 on the road and have only lost by multiple goals six times all season. They played Man U to a draw at home earlier this season and the United motivation is questionable with little to play for here. Since clinching they have gone 0-1-1 including taking a 1-0 home loss from Chelsea in their last match. Confidence Meter: 3

1:00- Cornell: Maryland and Cornell meet in the first round of the tournament with a history of heartbreak for each on the line. Cornell has a potent offense and the only thing I can think on the %’s is that the streakers are flocking to the Terps simply because they’re ranked. Maryland struggled toward the end of the season while Cornell is a high-scoring handful for the Terps defense. Confidence Meter: 4

May 7, 2013; New York, NY, USA; New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey walks off the mound after the end of the top of the 9th inning against the Chicago White Sox at Citi Field. Mandatory Credit: John Munson/THE STAR-LEDGER via USA TODAY Sports

1:10- New York Mets: There’s really only one reason I’d pick the Mets over the Pirates. That reason starts for New York Sunday-Matt Harvey. Harvey will be opposed by Jeanmar Gomez who has looked good for Pittsburgh so far this season (2-0, 2.38 ERA). The Mets should be able to earn a split in this four-game series behind their ace. Confidence Meter: 7

2:10- Baltimore Orioles: The O’s send Wei-Yin Chen to the mound taking on Scott Diamond and the Twins in the rubber game of their three-game series. Both pitchers have been pitching well lately, but the O’s bats are hot. Adam Jones and Nick Markakis both have solid numbers against Diamond so they should be able to get the win and take the series. Confidence Meter: 3

3:00- Olympiacos: In the Euroleague championship, Real Madrid takes on Olympiacos on a neutral court in London. Olympiacos won last year and pulled a major upset by taking down CSKA Moscow in the semifinals. They were 7 1/2 point underdogs in that game and are 3 1/2 point ‘dogs in this one. The two teams last played in 2010-11 and split a pair of games in that competition. I think the Olympiacos complete their surprise run and get the championship. However, I think the best plan is to stay away from this pick completely since anything could happen. Confidence Meter: 2

May 10, 2013; Oakland, CA, USA; Fans celebrate after a three point basket by Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (30) against the San Antonio Spurs during the first quarter of game three of the second round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs at Oracle Arena. Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

3:35- San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead as they take on the Warriors in game three. It’s a tricky pick since no one knows the status of Stephen Curry. Right now, the line sits at Golden State by one, but I was impressed by San Antonio’s play in game three and think they are the right pick either way in this game. Confidence Meter: 4 (if Curry plays) 6 (if Curry sits)

4:05- Atlanta Braves: In the fourth and final game of this big series by the bay, Atlanta looks to gain a split if they can beat Tim Lincecum. Lincecum has struggled lately giving up five runs in each of his last two starts and has a 0-4 record against Atlanta in his last four regular season matchups with the Braves. Atlanta will give the ball to Kris Medlen who is just 1-4 despite pitching well and coming into this game with a 3.25 ERA. Medlen has been a bit snake-bit, but I think he’ll get the W this afternoon as Lincecum’s struggles continue. Confidence Meter: 5

4:30- New York Rangers: The Rangers try to force a game seven as they host the Caps in Game 6. The home team has own every game in this series with the last four being decided by just a single goal. Last year, New York rallied from two down in the first round last year and then beat Washington in a game seven in the second round. The Rangers will draw on that experience and should be able to defend their home ice as they did in games three and four. Confidence Meter: 6

7:30- Boston Bruins: Boston took a pair of games in Toronto in this series and will need one more if they want to avoid a Game 7 back in Boston. The Bruins seemed to let down in their two losses, but I think they’ll get back to their hard-hitting defense and get a boost from the return of Wade Redden as they close out this series tonight in Toronto. Confidence Meter: 4

8:06- C.J. Wilson or Tie: This prop is an interesting one submitted by matlapenguin and matches the number of pitches thrown in the 1st inning as CJ Wilson takes on Chris Sale on Sunday Night Baseball. There are so many things that affect this prop that it’s virtually a coin flip. Wilson averages slightly more (25) than Sale (22.5) so far this year. The White Sox average 19.7 1st inning pitches against lefties while the Angels only see 17.2. The numbers point Wilson, but anything can happen. It’s a fun prop to play, but I’d stay away with anything long. Confidence Meter: 2 1/2

<img class=" wp-image-12084 " title="MLS: Houston Dynamo at D.C. United during the second half at RFK Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Paul Frederiksen-USA TODAY Sports

8:07- Houston Dynamo win: Sporting KC heads to BBVA Compass Stadium to take on the Dynamo. Houston is 6-2-2 so far this season while KC is 5-2-4. The Dynamo are in good form coming off a two-game trip where they beat LA 1-0 and DC 4-0. At home they are 4-1-0 this season after going 11-6-0 last season. I think they’ll be able to get the full three points against Sporting KC who has lost three of their last four including their last road game at the LA team that the Dynamo just beat. Confidence Meter: 5

10:00- Anaheim Ducks: It doesn’t get much more intense than game seven in a playoff hockey series. The home team always has a big advantage and the Ducks get this one at the Pond in Anaheim. They were 16-7-1 at home in the regular season and won two of the three so far this series at home. The last three games in this series have gone to overtime, and I expect another tough, hard-fought game in this one. Ultimately, I’ll take Anaheim since they’re the home team, but the real winner is anyone who gets to watch this one. Confidence Meter: 6

10:20- Yes 1+ Batters reach full count in top 8th: Another quick and unpredicatble prop. Confidence Meter: 2

Streak Scoreboard-May

Saturday Results: 7-4

Overall Record for the month: 72-53

Record in confident picks (confidence 6+): 21-14 (4-0 yesterday)

Current Personal Streak: W5

Saturday’s Streak for the Cash boards is packed with options from around the world of sports. EPL action gets things going this morning before everyone turns their attention to Boston for a pair of emotional games. There’s other options from the NHL and MLB too throughout the rest of the day with some PGA Tour action and NBA Playoffs props and picks to give things a really nice amount of variety. Here’s the picks I like and a quick reason why:

4/20 Streak Picks

10:00- Arsenal: Fulham gets the draw as they open the day hosting Arsenal, but they’ve been struggling so I’ll take the gunners even on the road. Arsenal is clinging the the very important #4 spot in the table and have gone 4-1-0 in their last five including a pair of road wins. Fulham has gone 0-1-2 in their last three EPL games and lost at home to Chelsea two days ago 3-0. Fulham hasn’t inspired any confidnece while Arsenal is playing well so I think they’ll get this road win. Confidence Meter: 4 (out of 10)

1:05- Baltimore Orioles: The Dodgers have lost four in a row as they travel to Baltimore. After a rainout canceled last night’s game, the two teams will play a pair today. This first game should be a solid pitching performance as Jason Hammel looks to build on his strong start in New York as he faces highly-touted rooki Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu has pitched well in his last three starts lasting at least 6 innings and giving up one, two, and three earned runs. Ryu will face a solid Orioles lineup who typically hit well at home, and I think the home team gets this first game. Confidence Meter: 3 1/2

June 28, 2012; Bethesda, MD, USA; Charley Hoffman tees off the 7th hole during the first round of the AT

1:30- Charley Hoffman or Tie: Hoffman is paired with Kevin Streelman in this 18-hole matchup. Both are tied for the lead after two rounds at -6. Streelman shot a 66-70 which has been exactly matched by Hoffman. In my opinion, there’s not a lot of separation between these two, so I’ll take the tie and go with the California-native Streelman. Confidence Meter: 4 1/2

3:00- New York Islanders: The Islanders appear to be on their way to their first playoffs since 2007 as they head to Winnipeg to continue their season-ending road trip. The Islanders are 7-0-2 in their last nine and 10-1-2 in their last 13. The Jets have been playing well too having won their last five in a row. It should be a quality hockey game, but New York’sseason of road success (13-5-2) makes it possible for me to trust them to get this win north of the border. Confidence Meter: 5

3:00- Celtics 3-Pointers made or tie: The Knicks are favored by seven in this opening game of the NBA Playoffs. Boston will be a tough matchup for them in the first round. The Celtics played the Knicks four times this regular season, all since January 7. Boston won that first matchup and lost two weeks later by only three. In two late-season matchups the Knicks cruised by a healthy margin. The Celtics will give the Knicks a tough sereis with Kevin Garnett back from his injury and their extensive playoff experience. It wouldn’t shock me if the C’s rally together for the city of Boston and steal this game, but either way I do think it’ll be a close enough game that the Celtics 3PM will cover. Confidence Meter: 4

3:05- Detroit Tigers: The Tigers got trounced last night in game one of their set with the Angels. LA is starting to play better at home having won their last three in Anaheim. However, today they’ll turn to Garrett Richards who will be making just his second start of the season and gave up four runs in 6 1/3 his last time out to the light-hitting Astros. The Tigers turn to Rick Porcello who hasn’t started in 10 days but did have a successful relief appearance since then. I think he’ll be solid while Richards doesn’t inspire any confidence. Confidence Meter: 4

5:35- Warriors win or single-digit loss: The Nuggets are eight-point favorites as they host Golden State in their game one late this afternoon in Denver. The Nuggets finished the season 38-3 at the Pepsi Center and beat Golden State by 11 in both of their meetings there. Golden state force overtime and lose by 6 at home and beat Denver their other meeting 106-105. Those games were earlier in the season though and the Warriors improved down teh stretch. I think Steph Curry and his three-point barrage will keep his team in this one in a frenetic, high-flying series. Confidence Meter: 3

Apr 18, 2013; Ottawa, ON, CAN; Ottawa Senators left wing Milan Michalek (9) with a shot on goal against Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby (70) in the third period at Scotiabank Place. The Senators defeated the Capitals 3-1. Mandatory Credit: Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

7:00- Washington Capitals: The Caps head to Montreal where they won 3-2 11 days ago. The Canadiens have seemed to lose their edge since clinching a playoff berth while Washington has won eight in a row before losing to Ottawa in their last game. I think they’ll bounce back on the road and knock off the Habs and goaltender Carey Price who the Caps have beaten seven of the last eight times they’ve faced him in Montreal. Confidence Meter: 6

7:00- Philadelphia Flyers: Both the Flyers and their opponents in this one, the Carolina Hurricanes, have been eliminated from the playoffs. The ‘Canes have dropped 16 of their last 18. Even though the Flyers lost Thursday to New Jersey, they’ve has won 11 of their last 13 in Raleigh and owns a 19-2-2 record in their last 23 against Carolina. They won both matchups earlier this season 5-3 and 4-3 in overtime. Confidence Meter: 5

Apr 9, 2013; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee (33) delivers to the plate during the first inning against the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park. Mandatory Credit: Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

7:05- Philadelphia Phillies: The Phillies and Cardinals have split their first two games in this four-game set. Philadelphia broke out offensively last night scoring eight in their seven-inning, rain-shortened win over St. Louis. Tonight the’ll turn to Cliff Lee to keep their momentum going and Lee has been up to the challenge so far this season. He got a no-decision his last time out thanks to some poor bullpen work behind him. St. Louis’ bullpen has also been an issue, but Lance Lynn has managed to go 2-0 despite a 5.40 ERA since he’s gotten plenty of run support. The Phillies got to him in his only career start at Citizens Bank Park and they’ll look to get a win for Lee today. Confidence Meter: 7

7:10- Oakland Athletics: The A’s and Rays face off as Jarrod Parker looks to regroup after getting hammered in his last two starts. He’s lasted just 3 1/3 in each outing and comes in with an ERA over 10. He’ll be opposed by Jeremy Hellickson who is 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA and last pitched on Patriots Day in Boston where he received a no-decision. The A’s had been playing well on the road before losing last night, and I think they’ll bounce back and get this one as Parker does much better than his last time out. Confidence Meter: 4

8:00- Brooklyn Nets: The Nets finished four games ahead of the Bulls to get homecourt in this 4v5 matchup. Chicago one three of the four meetings this year, but the Nets are favored by 4 1/2 in win this one. Joakim Noah may not be able to play due to injury and the Nets are playing very well winning six of their last seven. This will be playoff basketball in Brooklyn which will only raise the intensity level for the hometown Nets. Confidence Meter: 6

9:25- No neither team scores 25+ in 3Q: These teams both average under 100 and allow under 100. The Bulls especially are known for their defense, so I think this goes under although gameflow in the first half could change my opinion. Check on twitter for updates if the pick changes. Confidence Meter: 3

10:45- Sporting KC Win or Draw: Sporting KC visit the Home Debot Center in LA. KC is 4-2-1 this season and atop the MLS table in the Eaastern Conference. The Galaxy haven’t started quite as well and are 2-2-1 so far this season but obviously have more games in hand. LA has lost their last three games overall dropping their match in Dallas and a pair in the CONCACAF Champions League. Getting the draw, Sporing KC makes a lot of sense even though LA is historically strong at home. Confidence Meter: 6
