Friday start the final week of May in Streak for the Cash and its a full board with college baseball and softball joining the pros on the PGA Tour and in Major League Baseball. Tonight there are props and picks from both the NHL and NBA Playoffs

5/25 Streak Picks

May 10, 2013; Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, USA; Rickie Fowler reacts and waves to the crowd after missing his putt on the 17th green during the second round of the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Mandatory Credit: Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

8:33- Rickie Fowler or Tie: Fowler takes on Charl Schwartzel and gets the tie in this nine-hole prop over the back nine holes. On the back nine in round one, Fowler shot a -2 while Schwartzel was -1. Fowler lacks consistency at times, but this is an event he has a nice track record at and should be able to get the green. Confidence Meter: 5

11:05- NC State wins by 2+: NC State plays close to home in Durham as they take on Miami. The Wolfpack are a solid team while Miami has struggled in games away from their home field. Confidence Meter: 4

2:05- Sligo Rovers win: Sligo is atop the Irish Premier League with a 9-3-1 record overall. Today they travel to Limerick who is in their first season at this level. Limerick is playing very well but will struggle to score against a solid Rovers defense. The Rovers D hasn’t been the problem but they have failed to win in their last three road matches. However in this one, I think Sligo wins or it is a 0-0 draw. Confidence Meter: 3

3:11- Virginia Tech Hokies: VaTech is playing well coming off back-to-back wins over Florida State and Virginia who were both ranked in the top ten. Georgia Tech is 1-1 in pool play and is coming off a loss to Virginia 8-2 who the Hokies just beat 10-1. Transference like that doesn’t always work, but in this case I do think it indicates the team playing better. Confidence Meter: 5

6:05- Missouri Tigers: Mizzou looks to avoid elimination as they take on Washington. The Huskies got the 2-1 win yesterday but I think the Tigers can force a deciding game three since the game takes place on their home field in Columbia. Confidence Meter: 4

7:05- Tennessee Lady Volunteers: ‘Bama visits Knoxville for this super regional against Tennessee. The Lady Vols took two of three during the regular season in Knoxville and also just cruised through regional play. They should be able to get the win at home. Confidence Meter: 5

May 22, 2013; Ottawa, ON, CAN; Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Pascal Dupuis (9) celebrates with left wing Matt Cooke (24) after a goal against the Ottawa Senators in the third period in game four of the second round of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs at Scotiabank Place. The Penguins defeated the Senators by a score of 7-3. Mandatory Credit: Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

7:07- Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles send Chris Tillman to the mound against Toronto who counter with Sean Nolin. Nolin has been excellent in Double-A but will be making his MLB debut tonight at Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays crushed Baltimore last night and their rookie Kevin Gausman. I see the script being flipped tonight as the Orioles knock around the Blue Jays youngster. Confidence Meter: 6

7:35- Pittsburgh Penguins winning Margin: The Penguins won their three wins in this series 4-1, 4-3, and 7-3. In this prop it’s their winning margin against the Sens goals scored.Coming home, the Penguins will look to wrap things up tonight and since Ottawa is a much better home team I think Pittsburgh cruises to the win. Confidence Meter: 5

7:36- Any Other Player: In this prop, the first goal is what decides the winner. It’s “Sidney Crosby, Daniel Alfredsson, or no one on the 1st period” against any other player. There’s a lot of other players who could easily score making AOP a solid play. Confidence Meter: 7

8:10- Athletics @Astros or tie: This is a more runs pick in the user-submitted prop where the Angels-Royals game gives the tie to the Athletics @ Astros game. It could be a long lock prop since you have to wait for BOTH games to finish, but if you don’t mind getting locked up I’d take the A’s-Astros since the staring pitcher in that one are worse and you get the tie. Confidence Meter: 4

8:35- Pacers 3-Pointers Made or Tie: Indiana played Miami extremely tough in game one, and I don’t see any reason for that to change in game 2. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Pacers steal this game. Confidence Meter: 5

May 18, 2013; Miami, FL, USA; Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy (32) throws a pitch during the first inning against the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park. Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

9:40- Arizona Diamondbacks: The D-Backs host San Diego as Brandon McCarthy looks to continue his dominance. In his last two starts, he’s thrown 17 shutout innings and I think he’ll dominate the Padres again tonight. Confidence Meter: 7

10:10- St. Louis Cardinals: St. Louis heads to Chavez Ravine to take on the Dodgers looking to continue their solid play. They come in having won 16 of their last 21 games as they send Lance Lynn to the mound against Chris Capuano. Lynn is off to a solid start to the season while Capuano was a trainwreck until his last two starts where he started to turn things around. He has horrible career numbers against St. Louis though, so I’ll take St. Louis to get to him again in this one. Confidence Meter: 5

10:15- Colorado Rockies: The Rox return to AT&T Park where they were swept by their NL-West rivals the Giants earlier this season. Tonight they’ll send Tyler Chatwood to the mound who has been good in limited opportunities for Colorado so far this season. The Giants will give more opportunity to Tim Lincecum who continues to struggle with consistency and location. These pitchers faced off in their last outings in a game the Rockies won at Coors Field 10-2. I think they’ll get the win again tonight by the bay. Confidence Meter: 4

Streak Scoreboard

Yesterday’s Results: 5-5

Overall Record for the month: 168-115

Record in confident picks (confidence 6+): 43-24 (0-2 yesterday)

Longest Personal Streak: W5 (twice)

Current Personal Streak: L1 (Blackhawks)

Thursday’s Streak for the Cash board has the regular options, but the picks are a little different with the MLB taking it easy (only five games). There are options from the three games in the NHL Playoffs as usual and they’re joined by some PGA action this morning and afternoon, the Dutch Eredivisie Playoffs, the NCAA Softball Super Regional tonight, Mexican Primera Soccer, and even a Club Friendly in St. Louis as Chelsea and Man City travel across the pond for an exhibition. Here’s the picks I’ve got on my radar for today:

Streak Picks 5/23

Jan 28, 2012; La Jolla, CA, USA; Sang-Moon Bae with his tee shot on the second during the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course. Mandatory Credit: Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports

8:33- Sang-Moon Bae or Tie: Bae is coming off a win last week in the PGA Tour event at TPC Four Seasons showing he can play in the wind and conditions in Dallas. This week the tour stays in the DFW metro area heading to Fort Worth to take on Colonial. Bae is matched up in this prop with Jason Dufner whose putting stroke has deserted him as he’s struggled this season. Bae getting the tie is a solid pick in this nine-hole prop. Confidence Meter: 5 (out of 10)

1:44- Angel Cabrera or Tie: In this matchup “El Pato” takes on Hunter Mahan in an 18-hole prop. Cabrera finished 12th last week at TPC Four Seasons while Mahan took the week off after a 19th-place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship. Before that, Mahan had a pair of missed cuts and a pair of MDF’s. Cabrera is in much better recent form and getting the tie makes him another solid golf pick. Confidence Meter: 6

2:45- Utrecht win or Draw: Utrecht visits Twente Enschede as they start their playoff for the Europa League. Utrecht finished just ahead of Twente in the standings thanks to a six-game winning streak to close the season at 19-6-9. On the other hand, Twente was good at home going 10-4-3 including winning their last four. I’ll take Utrecht since they’re getting the draw and they earned a 1-1 draw and a 4-2 win in their two regular season meetings. Confidence Meter: 3

5:35- Arkansas loses by 1 or Wins: LSU and Arkansas meet in the third round of the SEC tournament. LSU is excellent, but they’ll be against Ryne Stanek of Arkansas. Stanek will face Aaron Nola of the Bayou Bengals in what shapes up to be a great pitching matchup. Since it should be such a low scoring game, getting a run makes the Hogs the picks. Confidence Meter: 4

7:05- New York Rangers: The Bruins and Rangers meet in Game Four of their NHL series with Boston up 3-0. The Bruins don’t have to win on the road in this one and didn’t close Toronto out in the last series. I think they’ll win in five at home, but I’ll take New York to get this game at MSG. Confidence Meter: 5

Mar 14, 2013; Sarasota, FL, USA; Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman (75) delivers a pitch to Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Kelly Johnson (2) at Ed Smith Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Douglas Jones-USA TODAY Sports

7:07- Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles have called up prospect Kevin Gausman to make the start for them tonight as they take on the Blue Jays in Toronto. The O’s just took the last two from New York after dropping six in a row. Baltimore is actually 14-9 on the road, and I think they’ll be able to get the win as they face Brandon Morrow who has struggled to 1-3 with a 5.16 ERA. Confidence Meter: 4

8:10- Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks are in a virtual must-win as they try to avoid a 3-1 home to Detroit. The Red Wings played extremely well in game three getting the 3-1 win. Chicago is a tough team, and I think this will be a long series even if they do go down to Detroit. The Hawks need this game and will come out with a sense of urgency. Confidence Meter: 6

9:05- Missouri Tigers: Mizzou faces Washington in the NCAA Softball Super Regional. The Tigers beat the Huskies in the 2011 tournament and also beat them 2-0 earlier this season. Chelsea Thomas threw a no-hitter in that one. Thomas is expect to pitch in this one so I think the Tigers get the win again. Confidence Meter: 3

May 21, 2013; San Jose, CA, USA; Los Angeles Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr (44) battles against San Jose Sharks center Patrick Marleau (12) during the third period of game four of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at HP Pavilion. The San Jose Sharks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-1. Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

10:35- LA Kings: At the beginning of the series, I said the home team would win every game. So far the home team is 4-0, and I’m not changing my mind now. Jonathan Quick back at home should be able to contain the Sharks as LA holds serve. Both teams are excellent at home and the series has been a wildly entertaining one. I expect another close, hard-fought game with the home team winning once again. Confidence Meter: 5

Streak Scoreboard

Yesterday’s Results: 7-3

Overall Record for the month: 163-110

Record in confident picks (confidence 6+): 43-22 (1-1 yesterday)

Longest Personal Streak: W5 (twice)

Current Personal Streak: W1 (Pacers after Giants ended my streak)
