The NFL trade deadline is at the end of this month and those trades could have significant impacts on players value in fantasy football. One of the most talked about players is Denver Broncos' wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
The former first round pick has been a pretty big disappointment this season in his first season in Sean Payton's offense. Through five games, he has only 20 receptions, 222 receiving yards and hasn't scored a touchdown yet this season.
Jerry Jeudy is still on his rookie contract and under contract through the 2024 season after they picked up his fifth-year option. However, the Broncos are struggling and they may be looking to move players for draft capital.
While a trade for Jeudy would probably be welcomed, for all parties, not all landing spots are equal.
These are four teams that would boost Jerry Jeudy's fantasy football value the most if he were traded to them.
Buffalo Bills
The best landing spot for Jerry Jeudy would probably be in Western New York with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The Bills rank near the top of most passing categories this season but have hit a rough patch the past few weeks.
The Bills have a clear number one wide receiver in Stefon Diggs but there are a ton of targets up for grabs after the former All-Pro. The next player in line is Gabe Davis followed by tight ends Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid and running back James Cook.
However, the team doesn't have a clear slot receiver and Jeudy could step in immediately in that spot and make an impact. The Bills could also be interested in the former first round pick as Gabe Davis will be a free agent after this season and Jeudy could replace him next season.
The biggest question is whether or not Brandon Beane is willing to part with the draft picks necessary to get a deal done. If he does, Jeudy probably can probably produce like a WR2 for the rest of the season.
Indianapolis Colts
Another team that could be interested in Jerry Jeudy would be the Indianapolis Colts. While the Colts don't have a quarterback like Josh Allen, it wouldn't be surprising if Jeudy ascends to being the top receiver in this offense.
The Colts do have a number of wide receivers like Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce and Josh Downs, none have the ceiling that Jerry Jeudy does. This would also be a situation where the backup quarterback would actually help his value.
The Colts lost Anthony Richardson for the season and they now turn to Gardner Minshew. The veteran quarterback is more of a pocket passer and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Colts start throwing more now with Minshew under center.
Philadelphia Eagles
Do the Philadelphia Eagles need another wide receiver? Absolutely not. Can you count out Howie Roseman from making a trade? Nope.
The Eagles have one of the best offenses in the league with Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, A.J. Brown, and Dallas Goedert. However, the addition of Jeudy would give the Eagles the best wide receiver group in the league and provides them another versatile wide receiver that can be moved around, both in the slot as well as outside.
While the addition of Jeudy would be fun to see, the biggest concern would be whether or not there is enough targets to go around for him to be a consistent starter on a weekly basis. If the Eagles are able to find a way to give him 6 to 7 targets a game then he certainly would be a factor in fantasy football down the stretch.
Dallas Cowboys
The final team that would drastically improve Jerry Jeudy's value in fantasy football if he were traded before the trade deadline would be the Dallas Cowboys. This season, the Cowboys are ranking in the middle of the league in passing yards with an average of 210.2 yards per game and the addition of Brandin Cooks hasn't worked out the way the team would hope.
The Cowboys still have CeeDee Lamb, who is one of the best wide receivers in the league, but he could use some help. The addition of Jeudy could be a good compliment to Lamb and essentially replaces Michael Gallup in their starting lineup.
During the offseason, the Cowboys had 'checked in heavily' according to Benjamin Allbright before trading for Cooks. Similar to Roseman, Jerry Jones probably is always involved in trade discussions in one way or another.
The Cowboys have a defense that is Super Bowl caliber and it wouldn't be surprising to see him try to add more talent to the offense. If the Cowboys were to add Jeudy, it not only helps those Super Bowl chances but would be a big boost for Jeudy's value in fantasy football.
