2023 Fantasy Football: Biggest risers and fallers for Week 6
There are many factors that can cause the movement behind fantasy football’s biggest risers and fallers.
Injuries and recent signings are both factors. Some weeks we have suspensions and some weeks we have players and management having public disagreements over health. Some of these big swings in perceived value are overreactions and some are valid. Our goal is to help you reach the right decision as to what is causing these changes and help you take advantage of them. These are the biggest movers today.
As always this will not list defenses or kickers because well, they are defenses and kickers. This also does not reflect the obvious ones like a quarterback who gets hurt after four plays and will miss the rest of the season.
Risers
K.J Osborn - WR - Vikings
No big surprise here. Justin Jefferson is expected to go on the IR this week. Osborn had the same targets as Addison and that should hold true this week against the Bears.
Emari Demercado - RB Cardinals
Another huge waiver wire grab. James Conner went down with a knee injury in the second quarter. Keaontay Ingram the other backup was also out with a neck injury. The volume alone makes him a great pickup.
Jeff Wilson, JR - RB Dolphins
Wilson should come off the IR this week. Just in time too for the Dolphins. De’Von Achane is dealing with a knee injury and if he misses time Wilson will see touches this weekend.
Logan Thomas - TE - Commanders
This is both a reaction to Thomas having a good game and a weak tight end position.
Tyjae Spears - RB - Titans
Spears scored 16 fantasy points this weekend. He had an equal number of yards rushing and receiving. Derrick Henry will still be the lead back but this is someone to keep your eye on.
Fallers
Matt Breida - RB - Giants
Breida was outplayed by Eric Gray and only scored 2.9 fantasy points. It looks like Saquon Barkley will be back for week 6 so feel free to drop.
Jordan Love - QB - Packers
One bad game and everyone cuts him. With a bye week and then Denver and Minnesota following I would expect a bounce back. Hide him on your bench if you can.
Michael Wilson - WR - Cardinals
This is a reaction to the overreaction last week. Wilson had one really good game and everyone pounced. This week he was back to his normal 2-3 targets. There should be plenty of better pickups on the wire this week.
Romeo Doubs - WR - Packers
This makes no sense. Doubs' had 17 fantasy points the week before and 14 points the week before that. His awful line this week was more a byproduct of Love’s awful game. Look for a bounce back after the bye.
Jayden Reed - WR -Packers
This makes more sense than dropping Doubs. Reed will slip back to WR3 on this team with Christian Watson back.
