Travis Etienne, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Etienne has started his pro career with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He's been a solid running back who is still young and doesn't have much in terms of competition on the roster behind him. But is he already as good as he is going to get?

I would argue that he is. He is a 'fine' player and if you want to keep him on your roster for years to come, that is certainly understandable. But the Jacksonville Jaguars just seem to be one of those teams that is always going to be middle-of-the-road offensively.

The team lost Calvin Ridley in free agency and replaced him with Gabe Davis, a clear step down. This season, with two years of tape in front of them to study, defenses may be able to key in on Etienne and shut down the rushing attack, forcing Trevor Lawrence to beat them with the likes of Davis, Christian Kirk and Evan Engram. Those are not bad options, but they aren't intimidating either.

Trading players, particularly running backs, at the height of their careers can bring an exciting return. Etienne is a player that you should consider doing that with ahead of the draft or at the very least, before the 2024 season kicks off.
