3 players to trade in your dynasty league before free agency gets started

The NFL free-agent signing period will officially open on March 13. Dynasty league managers should look into getting maximum value for these players before that date.

Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants

Saquon Barkley is a player you could take advantage of in a trade because of the fact that he is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent and other managers in your league could be excited about the fact that he could leave New York.

I still feel that Barkley has the talent to be the best running back in the league, but that just has never happened with the Giants and there's nothing to indicate that it will. This past season, Barkley rushed for just 962 yards with six touchdowns but the most alarming number was his 3.9 yards per carry.

Barkley just turned 27 years old so he should still have at least a few seasons of productivity left but whether he stays in New York or joins a new team, it's hard to gauge how productive he will be. But he still has plenty of name value and other managers will recognize that.

Because of that, he would still provide a good return, though that return won't be the kings ransom that it would have been at one time. But if you have Barkley on your roster, particularly if he has been on your roster your entire career, has he ever been the back you thought he would be?

Sure, he has shown flashes, but it's never been sustained for a great length of time. It's a risky move to send him to a new team, especially if he were to sign somewhere such as Philadelphia where the team has a stout rushing attack, but what you could get back for his name, particularly if he was to remain with the Giants, would be worth that risk.
