Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

The situation with Kirk Cousins is vastly different than that of Prescott and Stafford as Cousins is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Cousins is 35 years old but will be looking for one more good contract before calling it a career.

Cousins has also always put up nice fantasy numbers, which he was doing again this year before a torn Achilles cut his season short.

The Vikings may look to bring Cousins back as their depth chart is lacking at the QB position and that really cost them a spot in the playoffs this year. But on the chance that Cousins signs with another team, will he be as effective? That's a gamble for fantasy players.

Staying in Minnesota is probably the best option for fantasy players but the NFL is a business and Cousins is going to go where there is the best combination of an opportunity and money. But at 35 years old, it might be a good time to get him off your roster, while you can still get a decent return, while you still can.

If Cousins goes to another team and struggles, you have an aging QB on your roster that you will get next to nothing for in a trade. Even if he stays in Minnesota and isn't the same player returning from a torn Achilles, you don't have much of a bargaining chip.

Now is a good time to roll the dice and see if someone will pay up for him. Let that person take those chances.
