Perhaps nothing forces a fantasy football owner to be more creative than a tough bye week and Week 10 will present that case as Patrick Mahomes, Tua Tagavailoa and Jalen Hurts will all be on bye this week.

That will make owners of those players turn to their backup, but if you have a weak backup, there are some options this week that could give you a terrific return and depending on the size of your league, they may even be available on the waiver wire.

If you are missing one of those stud quarterbacks this week, consider one of these three choices.

Sam Howell, Washington Commanders (at Seattle)

If you want a quarterback who is going to throw the ball around a lot, Sam Howell is your guy. He has attempted at least 40 passes in five games this season (and 39 in another) and he is completing 66.6 percent of his passes. He has also gone over the 300-yard mark in his last two games.

The Seattle Seahawks don't have a terrible defense, but it's one that Howell can attack down the field. He has some great weapons in the passing game in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. He has the ability to gain yards on the ground as well but is prone to turnovers as he is a bit of a gunslinger.

I would rank Howell inside the top 10 quarterbacks this week with the big names that are on a bye and this is a play you should be quite confident in.
