Kenneth Gainwell, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles

It's obvious that in this monster NFC matchup Sunday afternoon between the 49ers and Eagles Christian McCaffery and D'Andre Swift ($6,600) are the stud running backs to roster yet much like ghost Yoda professed to ghost Obi-Wan Kenobi, "there is another". Now this "other" may not be as electric nor rack up the yardage or have as many opportunities as McCaffery and Swift, but he's worth a strong look for your DFS roster.

Primarily used as a breather for Swift and when Jalen Hurts doesn't call his own number, Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell has shown sparks of productivity this season. As the third leading rusher for Philadelphia behind Hurts and Swift, Gainwell has seen his opportunities decrease as the season has gone on but has been able to make the most out of some games where he hasn't exactly been given the rock much.

After getting fourteen carries in two of the first three games of the season, Gainwell has only carried the ball more than five times twice since and when targeted in the passing game he's usually seeing one or two targets. Doesn't sound too appealing, right? True, but Gainwell's two touchdowns on the season were red zone conversions against two pretty dingy defenses in the Cowboys and Dolphins and with this marquee matchup being an "all hands on deck" kind of game there's a good chance Gainwell can find paydirt as a decoy in the red zone.

I wish Gainwell's price tag of $4,500 was a bit lower, but if you're putting together your DFS roster and can squeeze him in there's a chance you're rewarded for savvy shopping.
