Derrick Henry has been one of the best running backs in the NFL for the past decade and fantasy football players have been more than happy to have him on their roster. He is one of those workhorse running backs who is going to get plenty of touches and if he can turn them into something, he can often be the reason you win your game that week.

This offseason, Henry is set to be an unrestricted free agent and could be playing for a team other than the Titans, who he has been with since they drafted him in the second round in 2016. In that time, he has racked up an astounding 9,502 yards rushing and 90 touchdowns.

He recently turned 30 years old and most feel his best days are well behind him. He also seemed resigned to the fact that his time in Tennessee is over following the team's victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars to end the season.

However, if Henry signs with one of these teams as a free agent this offseason, he could still bring fantasy teams plenty of points.

Derrick Henry signs with the Green Bay Packers

This may not be the first team that you think of when determining potential fits for Henry. The Packers do still have Aaron Jones, who was very effective toward the end of the year. But there could absolutely be a spot for Henry in a committee situation on this team.

A.J. Dillon will also be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and Henry would be a clear upgrade over him. The Packers, who were the youngest team in the NFL this past season, could make their offense much more potent with an experienced veteran added to the mix.

Jordan Love will come into the 2024 season with one of the more exciting potential passing games in the league. But if he can also turn around and hand the ball to Henry with Jones still in the mix, the Packers could become one of the league's best offenses next season.

Henry to the Packers makes a lot of sense.
