Dynasty Fantasy Football: CeeDee Lamb is now firmly in top-tier territory
The Dallas Cowboys are rolling and CeeDee Lamb is probably the biggest reason why. He has been one of the best wide receivers in the league since he was drafted in the first round in 2020 and even before coming to the NFL, the signs were there while he played at Oklahoma in college that he was going to be great.
But for the first part of this season, he was just another player in the Cowboys' offense. He was getting some looks, but he wasn't taking over games or really doing anything to stand out as a major difference maker.
The Cowboys seem to have put forth a concerted effort over the last three weeks in order to get him more involved and he has put forth some ridiculous stats. In his last three games, Lamb has posted the following stats:
Receptions: 34
Yards: 500
Touchdowns: 3
He also had a 14-yard rushing touchdown in addition to all of that and he became the first wide receiver in NFL history to catch 10+ passes for 150+ yards in three consecutive games.
Jerry Rice never did that. Randy Moss never did that. Only Lamb, which is incredibly impressive. If the Cowboys are smart, they will continue to feed him the ball. For fantasy players in dynasty leagues who own Lamb, you should now be viewing him in the same light as some of the top wide receivers in the league.
Lamb is on any top 10 list in the league, but he should now be considered on the same level in terms of value as Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase. A.J. Brown is potentially on that list as well.
What does this mean? Well, if someone ever tries to pry someone like Jefferson or Chase away in a dynasty league, it is going to take a king's ransom that includes multiple first-round picks and players. Lamb should be on that level too.
Any time a player begins to go on a run like this, you can expect to get some trade offers from fellow players in your league. Some of these guys may try to point back to when he wasn't as productive, which was less than a month ago, and they may try to persuade you by saying things like "we know he isn't going to continue to play like this". We all have owners like this in our leagues, so be ready for it.
What you need to do as a Lamb owner is take a firm stance in saying that he is either not for sale or that you are not accepting anything less than two first-round picks plus two premier players.
He is still just 24 years old and has many great years still in front of him. He either needs to be a cornerstone of your dynasty league team or one who brings you a package that is almost impossible to believe.
