Fantasy Football: 5 sleepers at running back for Week 8
By Brandon Ray
3.) Gus Edwards
At this point in the season, the Baltimore Ravens look like the best team in the NFL. Coming off a fresh dominant victory over the Detroit Lions, Baltimore is showing the NFL that they are the team to go through. Running back Gus Edwards scored his second rushing touchdown against the Lions and also had an 80 reception as well. He finished last week with 14 carries for 64 yards.
The Ravens are traveling to Arizona this week to take on the Cardinals, who have a defense that has given up no less than 92 rushing yards in a game (with the most being 185). With the Ravens coming off a great performance against a top Lions’ team, this could be a trap game coming up against Arizona.
However, Edwards is in a prime position to run over the Cardinals’ defense for another week of production. The only thing that limits Edwards is being able to catch passes out of the backfield, having only 4 catches on the year.
