Fantasy Football: 5 wide receivers to avoid starting in Week 10
By Brandon Ray
1.) Amari Cooper vs. Baltimore Ravens
Coming off his best week of the season against the Arizona Cardinals (5 catches on 5 targets for 139 yards and a touchdown), fantasy owners are feeling great about Cooper as he will be looking to pick up where he left off. However, Cooper and the Cleveland Browns travel to Baltimore this week for an AFC North battle where the last time Cooper was on the field against the Ravens, he had one catch for 16 yards. The Ravens are arguably the best team in the NFL going into Week 10 and they get the home field advantage against a rival.
Cooper has had only three games below 10 fantasy points this season, putting him at a WR2/flex spot, but the Ravens’ defense who just limited the Seattle Seahawks to three points last week is a favorable matchup against the Browns’ offense. Cooper is a big risk/big reward fantasy receiver this week. If you are feeling confident, start Cooper. However, if there is little doubt about him this week, play it safe and put him on the bench.
