3.) Chris Godwin vs. San Francisco 49ers

In the first seven games of the season for Chris Godwin, he was a consistent wideout with getting double digit points but has yet to get over 20 points in a game. The last two weeks against the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, Godwin has only had a combined 6 catches for 70 yards, despite being targeted 6 times in each of those games.

Now he has the pleasure of heading out to San Francisco, to face a defense that just demolished Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Godwin has not been the best option as far as scoring, but since the Buccaneers’ bye week, he has had no less than 6 targets a game.

The 49ers defense can overwhelm an offense, as they just showed that last week. Godwin may not have the most productive game this week not because of his specific matchup, but it depends on if quarterback Baker Mayfield is able to avoid the pressure from the 49ers’ defensive line. Unless you are trusting of Mayfield to get the ball out quickly, avoid any Bucs receivers which includes Godwin.
