Fantasy Football: 5 wide receivers to avoid starting in Week 14
By Brandon Ray
We are at the point in fantasy football where sometimes the tough decision is the right decision. If you are lucky enough to have guys like DK Metcalf or CeeDee Lamb heading into this week, you should be in for a big week in fantasy. However, that is now always the case with other receivers. If you happened to have players like Drake London, Josh Downs, or even Chris Godwin, it may not have been a successful week for you last week.
With Week 14 underway this week, there are five receivers that have been a disappointment and it is time to bench them, if you have not already.
Here are the five wide receivers to avoid starting in Week 14.
5.) DeAndre Hopkins vs. Miami Dolphins
While wideout DeAndre Hopkins not only has to find a way to get on the same page as quarterback Will Levis, he has yet to show consistency this season in fantasy. Despite get double digit points last week, Hopkins was targeted 12 times but only managed to bring in 5 catches.
This week, Hopkins and the Titans travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins, where Hopkins can expect to see Jalen Ramsey. Both guys are familiar with each other from their time in the AFC South when Hopkins was on the Texans and Ramsey was on the Jaguars.
The Dolphins' defense should be trusted more in this matchup and with Hopkins' inconsistency this season, expect it to continue this week in primetime.
