Fantasy Football: 5 wide receivers to avoid starting in Week 17
By Brandon Ray
The NFL season has just two weeks left of the regular season, which means that fantasy football is coming to an end. For most leagues, this is the championship week to decide who wins it all after all of the hours of drafting and frustration that has been caused by players throughout the season. If you find yourself lucky enough to be in your championship game in your league, it all comes down to this week and the decisions that you make.
If you have any of these five wide receivers heading into this week, you may want to consider making the unthinkable decision to put them on the bench. However, it could ultimately help you win your league.
Here are the five wide receivers to avoid starting in Week 17 for fantasy football
5.) Stefon Diggs vs. New England Patriots
To think that Stefon Diggs was on his way to a potential career year in the first six games of the season is mind-blowing, considering what his season has been from Week 7 and on. Last week against the Los Angeles Chargers was the continuous story as to what his season has looked like. Since Week 9, he has had only two games where he scored double digit points and in his last three games, he has not scored 9 points in each of those games.
While he managed to get into the end zone the last the Bills faced the Patriots, it was late in the fourth after a pitiful offensive outing by the Buffalo offense. There is too much risk to keep Diggs in starting lineups making him a receiver to put on the bench this week.
