Fantasy Football ADP risers and fallers
There are many factors that can cause the movement behind fantasy football’s biggest ADP risers and fallers.
Injuries and recent signings are both factors. Some weeks we have suspensions and some weeks we have players and management having public disagreements over health. Some of these big swings in perceived value are overreactions and some are valid.
Our goal is to help you reach the right decision as to what is causing these changes in ADP and help you take advantage of them. These are the biggest ADP movers in the last week.
ADP RISERS
PLAYER | TEAM | POSITION | SPOTS RISING | ADP |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chase Claypool | Bears | WR | 28 | 180 |
Josh Palmer | Chargers | WR | 25 | 182 |
Matt Breida | Giants | RB | 20 | 181 |
Marvin Mims | Broncos | WR | 15 | 170 |
Brock Purdy | 49ers | QB | 14 | 169 |
Chase Claypool - It’s amazing what speculation from one writer can do to affect a player’s rise and fall. Brad Spielberger wrote in PFF that Darnell Mooney would be a great trade candidate for the Bears. He didn’t even say he heard that was a possibility from anyone but evidently, drafters took that as a reason to move Claypool way up the list. Unless there really is a trade or someone gets hurt, leave him where he is.
Josh Palmer - Palmer was ranked low simply because the Chargers drafted Quentin Johnston. Palmer is a great talent and has had a better camp so far and should hang on to the the WR3 spot. With Allen and Williams getting hurt last year he had seven games with double-digit fantasy points. Add him to your draft list or check the waiver wire if you have already drafted.
Matt Brieda - No news here. My guess is he made the list because more people are drafting now and anyone taking Saquon Barkley is getting smart and selecting him as a handcuff.
Marvin Mims - The rookie immediately becomes the Broncos number two receiver. With Tim Patrick injured and now Jerry Jeudy with a hamstring injury I would grab him quickly. Even if he drops back down to No.3 after a couple of weeks he will still be fantasy-relevant with the new and improved offense.
Brock Purdy - This is just the result of Trey Lance getting traded to the Cowboys. With only Sam Darnold behind him, his leash just got longer.
ADP Fallers
PLAYER | TEAM | POSITION | SPOTS FALLING | ADP |
---|---|---|---|---|
Zamir White | Raiders | RB | 26 | 17 |
Taysom Hill | Saints | TE | 16 | 204 |
Jerome Ford | Browns | RB | 13 | 186 |
Bryce Young | Panthers | QB | 13 | 191 |
Jake Ferguson | Cowboys | TE | 12 | 192 |
Zamir White - This is another mover that has nothing to do with the player. He moved up the charts when it looked like Josh Jacobs might be holding out. Jacobs signed a one-year extension so White moved back down the board.
Taysom Hill - The coaching staff said they are trying to figure out his role. With Carr, the QB play will be limited which affects his value for fantasy. He is not anyone you should be drafting anyway.
Jerome Ford - Dealing with a hamstring issue has him sliding down the rankings. If you have drafted him and have IR slots, keep him. This is a great running team and if he gets healthy he is a perfect handcuff to Chubb.
Bryce Young - This is an adjustment. Rookie QBs get a lot of hype and that hype just needs to be tempered a bit. If you have a dynasty team though, he has a great future.
Jake Ferguson - I’m not sure this has to do with Ferguson so much as with more drafts taking place more tight ends are just being drafted before him. In a 10-team league, he should not be drafted.
