Obviously, if you drafted Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, or any of the other studs in fantasy football then it doesn’t matter who they are playing this week you just plug them in. So you won’t find any player that is a top ten ranked QB1, RB1, or WR1 on my list.

For all your other players it only makes sense to look at their matchups and react accordingly. Let’s see if we can squeeze out a few more fantasy points for your team this week by looking at players who are not every week plays, but have a great chance to boost your lineup based on their matchups. All players are outside the top ten as ranked by Fantasy Pros.

Quarterbacks

Kenny Pickett - Steelers vs. Jaguars- QB29 - Projected Points 14.4

Pickett has had just two weeks this year reaching over 14 fantasy points. He should be able to do that this week playing at home against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has given up the 2nd most passing yards and the fourth-most fantasy points to QBs.

In the last three weeks, Jacksonville has given up about 300 yards passing in each game. The Steelers have won four out of the last five games. Each week the average yards per attempt keep getting longer. A couple of long passes to Pickens should lead to a couple of touchdowns.

C.J. Stroud - Texans vs. Panthers - QB12 - Projected Points 17.4

Stroud has been a good QB this year. He has been a top thirteen QB in four of the six weeks he played. The Panthers defense gave up 42 points to Miami in week six. They gave up the same 42 points to the Loins on week five. If the trends continue, Stroud should beat the 17 projected fantasy points.
