Keaton Mitchell, six players to add on waiver wire ahead of Week 10
Week 9 will finish with the Monday night game between the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets. But it's largely on to Week 10 in the minds of fantasy football owners, and on to options off the waiver wire.
Four teams (Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams) are on bye in Week 10. So a lot of fantasy lineups will be left thin.
Which players on the waiver wire need to be priority adds for fantasy football in Week 10?
Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens
Mitchell had a breakout game in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks, with nine carries for 138 yards and a touchdown over 14 snaps. It's worth noting that 100 of those yards came on two carries, a 40-yard touchdown and another 60-yard run, and a 37-3 win for Baltimore opened up the idea of getting him more run.
Mitchell is widely regarded as the top waiver wire add for Week 10, and the FAAB buster for this week. That sentiment has merit, but it also ignores Gus Edwards and Justice Hill as significant factors in the Ravens' backfield.
Mitchell's rest of season range of outcomes is high, but it's also fair to say he won't be going back to getting zero carries. There are a lot of worse, way lower upside, ways to fill a roster spot in leagues with 12 or more teams. Just be prepared for ups and downs.
