Fantasy Football: One QB, RB, WR, and TE primed for huge Week 7 performances
By Lior Lampert
TE: George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
There is no denying George Kittle is a star and amongst the best tight ends in the NFL. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, that doesn’t always translate to fantasy points because he does so many of the little things well. He is the definition of someone who is a better real-life player than a fantasy player. But this week, the stars are aligning for him to make an impact in both real-life and fantasy football.
Kittle and the 49ers are playing against the Vikings on Monday Night Football and could be without two major offensive playmakers. Running back Chrisitan McCaffrey and wide receiver Deebo Samuel are both dealing with injuries and have been unable to practice this week to this point. If one and/or both are forced to miss this game, it will be a major boost to Kittle’s fantasy outlook.
The Vikings are a bottom-10 defense in terms of opponent passing touchdowns allowed per game (1.5). Even if the aforementioned counterparts play, Kittle still has a great chance to find the end zone against the Vikings.
As of this writing, McCaffrey and Samuel look to be on the wrong side of questionable. Even if they play, there is a chance they’re limited and put on snap counts. With that in mind, Kittle will be asked to shoulder the load alongside wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in the passing game and is primed for a huge Week 7 performance.
