Fantasy football: One QB, RB, WR, and TE primed for huge Week 11 performances
By Lior Lampert
RB: Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
While bell cow David Montgomery was sidelined for Weeks 7-8, rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs was asked to take on a workhorse role and thrived in it. During that span, Gibbs averaged 28.75 PPR fantasy points per game, ranking as the overall RB1. Even with Montgomery back in the lineup in Week 10, Gibbs continued his dominant play, racking up 26.2 fantasy points.
Gibbs has eclipsed 100 yards from scrimmage in each of his past three games, earning no less than 17 touches in each of the three contests. Over the past three weeks, the Lions have leaned into Gibbs’ pass-catching ability out of the backfield, targeting him 20 times. Now, he faces a Bears defense that allows the most receiving yards per game to opposing running backs (61.5) according to StatMuse.
Even with Montgomery back in the lineup, there is plenty of room for both backs to get theirs in an offense predicated on their ground game. With the Lions being a touchdown favorite against the Bears in Week 11, Gibbs is in a prime spot to put up huge numbers yet again in Week 11.
