TE: Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars
Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense gave us fantasy galore in Week 1 as three-point underdogs in a game that featured one of the highest expected totals of the week and now Trevor Lawrence, Evan Engram, and the Jaguars have an opportunity to do the same in Week 2 in their highly-anticipated showdown against the Chiefs.
Engram signed a lucrative three-year, $42 million extension with the Jags this offseason after being a big part of Doug Pederson’s offense in 2022 and Week 1 seemed no different – reeling in all five of his targets for 49 yards. Despite being listed as a tight end, Engram is built like a receiver and spends a lot of his time lined up from the slot – fifth among tight ends in slot snaps in Week 1 per Player Profiler (26). The Chiefs struggled to defend the slot in 2022, giving Engram an exploitable matchup.

After posting a 96.9 percent route participation and 15.6 percent target share against the Colts in Week 1, it is clear Engram will continue to operate as a full-time player in what we anticipate to be one of the better offenses in the NFL. With a prime Week 2, start Engram with confidence against the Chiefs in what has a chance to be the most exciting and fantasy-friendly game of the week.
