The 2023 fantasy football season has already overseen some particularly devastating injuries, and for some fantasy managers, those injuries made their mark even before Week 1. Injuries can derail fantasy seasons in an instant, but thankfully, these five guys will be back in action within the week ready to save the day.

#5. Miami Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr.

Jeff Wilson Jr. really couldn't be returning at a worse time, but this is the hand he's been dealt. Raheem Mostert is currently fantasy football's RB1 after a 45-point showing against the Denver Broncos, and rookie teammate De'Von Achane is right behind him at RB7 thanks to a 51-point performance in the same game.

Wilson's return will inevitably make Salvon Ahmed the odd man out, even if Ahmed is healthy, but it's hard to tell if Wilson will even have a role if Achane and Mostert continue their domination on Sunday.

In 2022, before the arrival of Christian McCaffrey in San Francisco, Wilson regularly played around 60 percent of the team's snaps, and he did the same after being traded by the 49ers to the Miami Dolphins. In total, the 27-year-old amassed 860 rushing yards and five touchdowns on only 176 carries, and added 22 receptions for 185 yards and another touchdown to that.

Wilson clearly had a role last year alongside Mostert, but this year isn't the same with 2023 third-round pick Achane also playing well. The longtime 49er is worth a speculative add for RB-needy teams in deeper formats, but it's ultimately best to wait and see how this Dolphins backfield shakes out, starting Sunday.
