RB Devin Singletary, Houston Texans

Dameon Pierce has struggled so far this season. In Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints, Singletary made it an equal share of the workload and played noticeably more snaps than Pierce (34 to 21). Singletary was also a more effective runner against the Saints, with 12 carries for 58 yards to Pierce's 13 for 34.

Pierce is not going to completely go away in the Texans' backfield mix, and they do have a bye this week. But Singletary was absolutely the better player in Week 6, just in time for a bye week re-evaluation of what the backfield deployment will be afterward.

Singletary is a speculative add to some degree, but he could be helpful in leagues with 12 or more teams after his bye is in the books.

RB Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans

Derrick Henry had 97 rushing yards in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens, but big chunks of that came on a 63-yard run and a 15-yard touchdown. Spears totaled 63 yards on five touches, including a 48-yard reception, and he also played more snaps than Henry (31 to 29).

The Titans now head into their bye in Week 7, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill may be facing a multi-week absence. So there's already been room for Spears to produce alongside Henry, and moving forward that won't be changing if the offense becomes more run-heavy.

Spears is still not rostered in enough fantasy leagues. Even going into his bye week, he's well worth adding in any 12-team leagues he's still available in. If Henry went down to an injury or is traded, it'd be wheels up as an RB1 for the rookie.
