Week 17 was the end in most fantasy football leagues. As it should be, to avoid the mess of there being any stakes during a week top players may completely rest or barely play if their real-life team has a playoff seed clinched.

But there are leagues that finish in Week 18, and with that prospect we're here for those who are in those leagues with some waiver wire pickups to consider.

Here is the Week 18 edition of "playing the waiver wire."

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18

Khalil Herbert, RB, Chicago Bears

Herbert had 18 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown, along with two catches for five yards, against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. He has taken back the lead role in the Bears' backfield over the last two weeks, with 22 and 20 touches respectively and over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground in both.

In Week 18 Herbert will get the Green Bay Packers, who entered Week 17 in the bottom-10 in fantasy points allowed to running backs before shutting down the Minnesota Vikings' offense all the way around.

The Bears are officially eliminated from the playoffs, but they can play spoiler to the Packers in Week 18. The matchup is good for Herbert, and the prospect of 20-plus touches again puts him in line for a third straight big game.
